But for once , Mai couldn’t return to the clan. She couldn’t bring herself to and so she eventually fell asleep within her slumbering sister arms.

With Maki finally falling asleep , Mai wasn’t exactly sure what to do.

She laid there in Maki grip , wondering if she should just leave before she woke up . . maybe that’d be best.

Unlike Maki. Her face showed the full brunt of her emotions , sobs escaping. She wouldn’t leave Maki.

She’d try her best to stay . . she hoped she could.

Mai was shocked by Maki behavior. Lip curling as if she was about to be swarm with tears in response to Maki own ones.

She didn’t know what to say , Mai was never the best at affection or displaying care.

It was quiet but streams of tears fell.

Mai despised the fact Maki left but it was moreso self hatred. She didn’t like she was too weak that she couldn’t resist what the clan expected them to be and the fact she played the role they wanted perfectly.

But Maki could , she was everything Mai wasn’t.

And that meant Mai couldn’t be with her because she could never keep up with that. It was the reality of it all , Mai was far too weak willed to just run away.

Mai stood there in quietness until she thought Maki asleep then went into bed. Hugging her sister.

Mai opened the door to the room.

Looking at Maki. She didn’t outright show care much at all for her. But Mai did care for her sibling.

Mai continued to grumble under her breath. She couldn’t bring Maki back to the clan and to the living quarters she stayed at.

Mai herself hated it for reasons she refused to ever tell so she got the best hotel room she could with the money she had.

She grumbled under her breath.

Mai crossed her arms. Eyebrow raising at the look but she didn’t expect an happy joyful smile anyway.
