We are a broad network of partners working together to restore fragmented ecosystems by establishing a 100-mile nature recovery corridor across Sussex.
The Weald to Waves team has developed the brilliant BioBox loan scheme, providing kits with ecological survey tools to support wildlife identification, from educational bioblitz events to long-term monitoring.
This project has been generously supported by @LloydsBank .
Delighted to have @herdyshepherd1 speaking at @wealdtowaves this evening. In conversation with founding farmer, James Baird, he is bringing his wealth of knowledge on regenerative farming methods and restoring soils across his farm in the Lake District.
We’ve been checking out scrubland nectar sources at key sites in the corridor with species recovery partners @kneppwildlandfdn @officialzsl @ambios_ltd @steyningdscheme@wistonestate. After decades of scrub clearance we are finally waking up to its immense value for biodiversity.
Great to be representing Weald to Waves at #Groundswell2024. Day has been packed with fantastic talks on natural capital, regenerative agriculture & lots of ☀️A great reminder of the exciting role Weald to Waves can play in a sustainable future of land management.

Scrub is such a vital habitat for wildlife. This funding from @NaturalEngland will help create 5-6 new areas of scrubland along the corridor as part of efforts to bring back the red-backed shrike and boost populations of nightingale and turtle dove.
We’re delighted that our Scrubland Superheroes project has been awarded funding by @naturalengland’s #SpeciesRecoveryProgramme Capital Grant Scheme.

“Astonishing, therapeutic & a little daunting!” What a great first community #Mapathon!
From allotments & orchards, to cycle tracks & community centres, ghost ponds & lost hedgerows, there is so much opportunity for nature recovery. We just need to join the dots…

Wonderful visit to #WadhurstPark where their deep focus on landscape recovery shone though the #Sussex fog. Great team spirit and standing listening to the #skylarks with restored clay #ponds full of stonewort, there is no doubt that this is #revival in action.
