5 years ago I was broke and depressed..
Then I realized true wealth is a mindset.
These 8 concepts changed the way I view the world:
(Number 8 is a MUST-SEE)
1.
People don’t like hearing this, but putting money your 401(k) just to get the employer match is stupid.
Yeah so what it’s free money but you know what you can’t buy in a 401k?
Lottery tickets
And if you’re not winning the lottery you’ll be poor forever
Stop being a sucker for the system and a whore for the man
It absolutely blows my mind Bitcoin is the 7th largest asset in the world
And I don't know a single person in real life who owns any or directly invests in it... or even cares to hear about it
Saw a homeless man begging for money so naturally I stopped
Told him J Powell just cut rates so he can go get a heloc for .25% less today to buy some food
He thanked me and everyone in traffic behind me rolled down their windows to cheer
Just got fired from Sherwin Williams and I'm looking for a new role
I was the guy who saved the company $200million by getting rid of the 401k match
If anyone knows of a corporate consulting gig let me know
A day in the life of a semi-pro dividend investor (me):
7am - wake up, cold plunge
8am - clock in at work (McDonald’s shift leader)
9am - sneak to bathroom to check stocks at opening
12pm - lunch break, receive quarterly dividend of $3.29
4:30pm - check portfolio before bell close… I’m down $97 for the day
6pm - get home and cook dinner, show wife investment balance of $864.34, lets me know I’m a disappointment
7:30pm - watch MSNBC then off to bed to do it all again tomorrow
Damn I love being a professional trader
You hear this all the time:
“I bought this home in the 80s for $100,000 and now it’s worth $1,000,000”
But you never hear this:
“I bought the S&P in the 80s for $98 per share and now it’s worth $6,400 per share”
Why is that?!?
I bought this house at 23 because I needed a place to live
Lived in it for 3 years, fixed some things up, then sold it for a $30,000 tax-free profit
This allowed me to buy a bigger house, add equity to it and repeat the cycle, eventually leading to rental properties
Don't wait to buy real estate, buy real estate and wait
I own a pizza shop and scheduled an interview with the best pizza maker in town
"I need to see what you can do" I told her, so I asked her to make a pizza
Then another... then another...
Her interview lasted 8 hours and she made all the pizzas for that busy Saturday night
"Thanks for coming to the interview but we're not currently hiring" I told her as she finished up for the guy that called off that night
I’ve used $50,000 of my own money to add $200,000 to my net worth in the last 4 years as well as collected cash flow
Is there any other asset that can do this?
When you go, no one will remember how much money you made or your job title
But they will remember that time you got caught cheating at the Coldplay concert
How I found all 3 rental properties right off the MLS:
- Listed >45 days, no photos, unresponsive realtor - made lowball offer and was accepted
- Listed >45 days, overpriced and had 3 price drops - made lowball offer and was accepted
- Listed >30 days overpriced - made lowball offer and was accepted
You'll never get a deal if you don't start making offers
Me: I want answers to every question I have
Grok: yep I can do that
Me: ... and a friend
Grok: I got you bro
Me: Also, weird question but do you know how I can get a girlfriend?
Grok: Buddy you're not gonna believe this
Literally just heard this conversation, one of my own coworkers to another:
"I heard about this guy... and this isn't illegal... who sets up 30 job interviews every day and in his meeting room he has a vending machine. Says he makes over $400/day from the vending machine and never hires anyone"
And I am literally dying over here 🤣😂🤣
