Good news: Uchegbu Kosischukwu won the gold medal in the senior category at the German Mathematics Olympiad in Frankfurt, Germany.
She competed against students from schools across Germany and also from 52 other countries.
She currently attends Ambassador College, Ota.

Alex Onyia of Educare has announced that Nathan
Nwachukwu, the founder of Terra Industries, has
pledged #40 million in support of the 2027 South
East Maths Olympiad.
The initiative will not only reward academic
excellence with cash prizes, but also create career
opportunities for outstanding students.
Winners in the Senior and Junior categories will
be getting prize rewards of #10 million and #5
million respectively along side internship
placements at Terra Industries.
With this latest contribution, the total amount
raised for the 2027 South East Maths 0lympiad
has now reached A100 million.
This includes the earlier #60 million support from
Sterling Bank and the newly announced #40
million donation from Nathan Nwachukwu.
The goal of the initiative is to make education
more attractive, rewarding, and inspiring for young
people, while building a generation of highly skilled
talents across the South East.
Supporters of the project believe that with
consistent investment in education and
Innovation, the region can develop one of the
strongest workforces in Africa within the next
decade.
