Obviously I’m naive, but how does @UAL get ranked 2nd in the whole world when the buildings aren’t properly accessible to Disabled students, while the curriculum doesn’t contain the knowledge about accessibility necessary to avoid graduates being sued, let alone to do a good job?
I’m really surprised to learn that Equality Act compliance is not part of the @UAL curriculum despite the legal requirements for inclusive design being in force for 20 years, but it certainly explains why so many online and print publications still unknowingly break the law.
Spent a very interesting afternoon talking to @UAL students at London College of Communication about accessible design, but what an appallingly inaccessible building with multiple legal breaches - I can’t imagine how students with limited mobility can achieve their potential.
Have you checked out our Christmas Shop? Mathilda and Sophia have created a set of prints that are perfect for friends (or strangers)! And £10 from each print to #CaimProject, who support refugee survivors of sexual and domestic violence. Buy here: https://t.co/MJ1bm3V7AS #gifts
