@truthseeke24622@JennMGreenberg While it is horrible what some evil priests did, the Catholic Church is hardly the only institution infiltrated by evil people. Public schools dwarf anything that went on in the Church… as did the Boy Scouts, & Protestant churches as well. It’s infecting every space
@ponygirl923@CLStansberry@JennMGreenberg Calling out immorality isn’t judging either (in the Bible). Judging would be deciding that the immoral would go to Hell for their sins. There is a difference.
But to those who view morality as relative the ego just says “you think you’re better than me?”
@SoliDeoGloria_X Submitting to Rome is submitting to Christ, bc that it what Christ left to us before His ascension.
The issue with Protestants is they all think they are Paul. You are not Paul. Protestants are more like who Paul would write letters to. Hence there is a hierarchy
@Nocterman@papasmurfffs@ChristopherHale Secular governments believe it is God which is why it licenses your rights to you as a legal fiction. Your rights don’t go away just bc the govt won’t protect them.
But putting machines on equal footing as humans is insane.
@phrygiandomina@son_ofa_car@papasmurfffs@ChristopherHale Would then destroying that machine constitute as murder? Does the machine have the right to procreate on its own? Stop working on its own? Can it be tried for crimes it commits? Would it be wrong to deprive it of resources like energy and thus shut it off?
@papasmurfffs@ChristopherHale It’s a dangerous notion that intends to give rights to a machine. Furthermore, allowing man to abdicate moral responsibility to a machine.
If “conciousness” is given to AI, how does it then apply to humans? Humans must always be primary. Never on equal footing with machines
@krystalball The current state of the world shows we need absolutely none of those in a secular capacity. Secular philosophers argue for euthanasia and abortion and artists create crap artwork (have you seen modern state of statues)
@Samuel43750453@catholixity You’re one of the ones in the temple claiming the blind man Jesus healed could always see. He just pretending to be blind for money.

@wiggerhistorian@Xtopher_Uzo@that1guyv83 The point is, the moral relativism that people will do to justify to themselves of their place in Heaven is absurd. You see it everyday.
Whether adultry, divorce, theft, lying, etc
Here’s another question: Is your “faith” transactional? Only for your own salvation?
