There’s this idea that #Broadway is super queer-friendly but I’d argue that it’s actually #gay-friendly because #Bisexuals are largely excluded from the #queer narratives of Broadway #theatre

How awesome it must have been to be #bisexual and cast as an openly #bi character on #Broadway (perhaps the first time ever?) only to have to portray the toxic trope of the cheating bisexual.

#Falsettos - where characters have relationships with folks of multiple #genders, their #sexuality is rarely clarified and therefore are assumed to be gay.

This is an example of the prejudiced “one-time gay” view; once men have same/similar sex relations, they can only be gay.

Anyway, Mardi Gras are seemingly happy to let the Liberal Party march in the parade every year but oust elected board members in secret for being part of an organisation that held a grassroots protest. Says a pretty disgusting amount about their loyalties.

I guess that’s what happens when a sitting board member once wrote a column entitled “I’m a sexual racist” and had to ask the Star Observer to take it down (I distinctly remember saying we shouldn’t!) so it wouldn’t tarnish his ambition to get on the board in the first place.

I was threatened with a defamation lawsuit by some Fruits in Suits dickhead because I wrote a story about an open letter (regarding Pride in Protest’s presence in the MG membership in fact) on which he was a signatory. They exploit MG as a means to wield influence over others.
