Here’s a B2B email marketing tip of the day! B2B conversions take more time. Plan several emails; create workflows that span through a longer period of time. B2B purchases typically require larger investments than B2C. So expect a longer sales cycle.
Many people ask when the best time to start an email list is. Well, start it is as soon as you can! Organically building an email list can take time – so use the opportunity to get their email addresses and don’t forget to set up an automated welcome email.
Use social media to increase your email sign-ups. If you have a strong social media following, why not promote your email marketing channel there too? Let your followers know that they can subscribe and keep up to date with what your company is offering through email marketing.
Write relevant content – you don’t want to “blast” the emails out just so that they kept reaching your subscribers. That’s not the point. Your emails must be interesting and relevant. We’re sure they’d prefer to actually read an engaging email then just to select and delete it!
Today’s tip is for B2B email marketers! B2B email communications need to focus on facts, information and benefits for your customers. In contrast, many B2C emails will focus on emotions in the emails. It’s not the emotions that drive B2B customers to act!
#emailmarketingtip Subscribe to your competitors’ emails, see what they are doing, what kind of emails, automated journeys they are creating! Obviously, don’t plagiarise or copy ideas, but watching what your industry is doing is vital to be better. Beat the competition!
