Outspoken political analyst Tamale Mirundi has passed away.

Mirundi had been placed in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in July after being admitted to Kisubi Hospital.

When the Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs, Balaam Barugahara, who also employed Mirundi at Radio 4, visited him at the hospital, he hinted at the possibility of a recovery.

However, on July 23, @MirundiJr revealed that his father was being tube-fed and had not spoken since his admission to the ICU.

Tamale Mirundi was known for his bold and often controversial commentary on Ugandan politics.
