RIP Gordon Lightfoot, a musician who, more than any other singer-songwriter, personified Canada, writes biographer @nicojennings.

Mr. Lightfoot's robust songs about winter nights, morning rain, being bound for Alberta and sailing on Ontario’s Georgian Bay came closest to expressing for many Canadians the essence of life in the Great White North.

He leaves six children – Fred, Ingrid, Eric, Galen, Miles and Meredith – from different relationships, as well as several grandchildren.

@wtf1official 10/10. Amazing

[Mark Henry @weasleyrowing]

@wtf1official just made my day hearing my hot take on the pod!

[Mark Henry @weasleyrowing]

@wtf1official Gonna go with: George Russell won’t be the next merc world champion. Whoever replaced Lewis when he retires (probably lando) will be

[Mark Henry @weasleyrowing]

@MarnieMcB Now take into consideration that they missed a lot of people during that time and just failed to send the survey out to everyone even after being told they had missed people.

[Mark Henry @weasleyrowing]

@ROWONTARIO Maybe want to double check some of those results. Seem quite off. Definitely watch a saints crew win the coxed quad. And a crossley crew win the 8+ in under 6 min

[Mark Henry @weasleyrowing]

@rowCSSRA Oh dammm @WittigJack

[Jacqueline Doorey @jackydoorey]

You don't need to be a curling fan to see how incredible that shot was. Like... what?! 🤯🔥

[Mark Henry @weasleyrowing]

@3Legs4Wheels love that the pod is back. Two comments though. 1. Paint is really heavy. I paint carbon fibre rowing boats and easily can add 1kg. (Plus colour and clear is double the weight). 2 bottas was 12 plus seconds back after that bad pit and pulled it all back

You bet this little girl is cheering for the right guy! @ValtteriBottas @alfaromeoorlen @F1

[Mark Henry @weasleyrowing]

@BottasTeam So pumped. Watching from the west coast of Canada. So midnight party

@3Legs4Wheels Use the Toronto Indy circuit

[Mark Henry @weasleyrowing]

@BrentCDuncan @wtf1official Ahahha yup.

[Jordan @F1_Jordan]

This is shocking. New emerging footage of @F1 Abu Dhabi GP containing previously unheard radio. Masi essentially executed the instructions of Jonathan Wheatley (Red Bull) without any second thought over its legality or fairness. This should be sickening listening to any fan.

[Mark Henry @weasleyrowing]

@BottasTeam @ValtteriBottas @alfaromeoorlen Canada. The Alfa is fast in a straight line ahah

[Ontario University Athletics @OUAsport]

The #OUA is, by all definitions, 𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗘.

Behind the scenes, on the sidelines, and certainly, on the playing field, this recognition is well-deserved for the talented individuals that make up the conference.

@OUAsport Like many of my teammates and competitors. The oua was my stepping stone to the national team. Without the oua competition I would not have had the chance to progress and build as an athlete . @GryphonRowing @guelph_gryphons #OUAisELITE
