#Snow depth predicted accumulation up to Saturday 3rd March - can clearly see the area under the @metoffice red weather warnings! ❄️ #StaySafe#StormEmma https://t.co/DcahJAhXrx
#Australia has had the second warmest summer on record nationally this year, with 3 separate locations reaching a high of 47.4°C! 🌡️ https://t.co/id5olv7qHD
An exceptionally warm summer for Australia; nationally the second-warmest summer on record. Read the full national Summer #Climate Summary here: https://t.co/wmqBFNxbOB
A great video of a makeshift snow plough & 'gritter' after #snow hit #Croatia - snow is rare here so they don't have the specialised equipment! Looks to be working though :) ❄️🌨️ https://t.co/AVRtsgxaOz
A rather rare event of winter road maintenance on the island of Brač, Croatia on Feb 26th. Snow is very rare on the islands! And of course, there are no snowplows on those islands so the locals had to "invent" their own solutions, even for salting :) Report: Marija Cvetković
Crazy #hail storms have been seen in the #ArabianGulf, hail is frozen rain which can cause significant damage to buildings & cars if the size shown in the photo! Credit: @CLIMATEwBORDERS #SaudiArabia#Oman #UAE https://t.co/rBysOxrR6O
Arabian Gulf is also having its fair share of wild weather with hail storms hitting Saudi Arabia, Oman and UAE. From@shaqsi_zaher88 via @CLIMATEwBORDERS
After 6 years #Rome has seen #snow! The wintry weather saw many people going out to play - including these in front of the #Vatican#Italy ⛄️ https://t.co/0sj3o2XwoO
Here at @weather_xc you can hedge against lots of different #weather scenarios - particularly relevant currently is extreme and prolonged cold ❄️#risk#hedging https://t.co/cEonLq8vFD
By using @weather_xc to hedge risk against extreme and prolonged cold, fisheries in Charleston would be able to offset losses due to the significant decline in white shrimp population this year.

It's very cold across the #UK today, as wind chill keeps temperatures feeling below freezing, apart from the most northern part of #Scotland! 🌨️ Our office in Harpenden, England has seen a few snow flurries ❄️ Graphic courtesy of @meteociel
Just because weather data comes from a meteorological service, doesn't mean that it doesn't have issues and can be blindly used. See Example #3 for Milan, Italy in our ongoing series... @SpeedwellWx@weather_xc#dataquality#weather#WRMA#Italy

The coldest stretch of the winter continues to impact the western US with more colder changes in today's @SpeedwellWx WDD Report. Records continue to fall across the region, with more records likely falling in the coming weeks. #West#cold#winter#records
A "winter" day in Eastern USA. 24 locations broke or tied record high temperatures for the entire month of February on Wednesday, incl Washington DC and Newark NJ at 80°F (27°C), per @NWSEastern.
Views from the summit this morning, looking more like early May then late February. We have set a new Monthly record high yesterday at 45°F, breaking our previous record of 43°F. So far today we have climbed to 46°F so once again we have a new Monthly record high!
#MountWashington has broken it's daily record high #temperature for February; 40°F was recorded at 10am, will they see the all time month or seasonal high records broken? For those who work in Celsius that's 4.9°C! 🌡️❄️ https://t.co/PXqsH6E640
As of our 10 Am observation, we have broken our daily record high of 40°F set in 1939. The all time record high for February is 43 so we will likely be breaking that as well. With how warm we are expecting it to get, we could make a run for our Seasonal record high of 48°F!

Amazing footage of #SunDogs in #China yesterday- sun dogs consist of glowing spots around the sun & 22 degree halos, #sunlight refracts off plate shaped ice crystals in cirrus #clouds. One of the most frequently observed optical phenomena ☀️🐶 https://t.co/6iiGvzsBl8
#DayZero for #CapeTown is now predicted to occur on June 4th - a few months off the initial prediction after several (although small) #rain events 🌧️this could be the first of major cities to struggle with water shortages #SouthAfrica https://t.co/7dvB0xwgkZ
In Cape Town, South Africa, "Day Zero" is now predicted to occur on the fourth day of June -- the day a major international city will likely run out of water.
