@Tuttlebees They are good when installed correctly in well insulated house 300%efficient if your lucky good gas boiler 95% efficient but gas is 7 pence per Kw electric 24pence almost 4 times as much. Norway pay 6 pence per Kw for electric there house are designed for the cold so heat pump

Heat pumps are the biggest white elephant yes you get a grant but they cost to repair and maintain I’m a heating engineer they cost more to run then a condensing boiler gas 7pence per KW electric 24pence per Kw #bbcqt

If they are fitted in a modern well insulated house then they are a choice but the price of electricity makes them expensive to run per KW Norway pay 6pence per KW uk 24pence per Kw so that’s why they are popular in that part of the world also Norway own most of UK wind farms

#bbcqt Nearly half of all the UK's offshore wind capacity is owned by state-owned or majority state-owned foreign entities that’s why it’s so expensive we don’t own anything drill baby drill
