@davidgerard@izakaminska@ruskin147@LeoMorozovskii Part 5 (and final part):
..As debated in that article, it has elements of a (private) blockchain, but things aren’t that black and white here.” End quote. Hope that clarifies.
@davidgerard@izakaminska@ruskin147@LeoMorozovskii I didn’t get my information from 1 article but from visiting the Estonian government, speaking people involved in its implementation and studies on it. Since your comment, I contacted other sources in a position to verify or not and they all said Estonia is using blockchain…
@davidgerard@izakaminska@ruskin147@LeoMorozovskii Part 4:
…Guardtime’s KSI, used as a security layer, was marketed as a blockchain in its early days. They moved away from it because of their public sector clients and poor image of then-popular ICOs and cryptocurrency scams…
@davidgerard@izakaminska@ruskin147@LeoMorozovskii Part 3: “However, the nation’s IT is built using X-Road that connects hundreds of information sources without having a single point of failure nor a single point of truth (the opposite of a super database), in itself developed in blockchain’s logic long before the term existed…
@davidgerard@izakaminska@ruskin147@LeoMorozovskii Part 2:
One response went into greater clarification:
“It depends on how strictly one would define blockchain itself. If we take a narrow approach, then Estonia does not use any of the well-known global blockchain solutions like Ethereum… (cont below)
@izakaminska@ruskin147@davidgerard@LeoMorozovskii I agree with you about the principle - I call it a bazooka killing a fly 😊. I watched the entire session and you made some great points so thank you.
@GMB Could you ask what ‘valid’ travel is please? I’ve looked on mine, not clear. Contacted home office, police, airlines - no one can answer. I’m trying to get back home to Dubai. Thank you
@GMB Along with 1. anyone who keeps evading questions around his actions and incompetence thereby supporting his position, and 2. evading questions on their own actions.
@bbcbigquestions@ProfCalumSemple Education isn’t just about what’s learned in the ‘classroom’. There’s an osmotic aspect to it. Looking back at over 500 in-depth interviews with successful senior executives one can see challenging events & circumstances, handled well, positively impact their trajectory in life.
@GMB@piersmorgan 😂You make a very good point! Ludicrous for people to get upset about ‘radox for men’. I’m sure @UnileverUKI conducted extensive studies before they launched this.
@GMB @RevRichardColes Great campaign 👏However, I suggest you adjust the pop up related to cookies on the site where volunteers can sign up. Currently volunteers cannot opt-out of cookies and links lead to pages that cannot be read unless you agree to cookies! #dataprivacy#dataethics#privacymatters
@GMB@piersmorgan@susannareid100 And people don’t social distance. Image attached is people queuing in passport control at LHR. Images were taken in sept when travellers from some countries had to do quarantine, others not. The queue however had passengers from all flights intermingling.
@GMB Even when you give people clear guidance, they don’t follow them. Whether it’s senior management or travellers. Pic attached show people squeezed into a coach at LHR - frontline staff told senior management coaches could hold Max 10-15 people but mngmnt decided to squeeze in 30+
@GMB No child should be hungry but is it realistic to expect the govt & therefore taxpayers to solve this piece too? We need a value check eg NHS vs earnings of footballers. Perhaps footballers should solve this instead of kicking the proverbial ball onto someone else.
@GMB re Alan Milburn’s comment on the erosion of national unity. This has already been undermined by officials, ‘leaders’ and people in positions of power, who supposedly should know better, not adhering to their own guidelines & not empowering frontliners to enforce guidelines.
@GMB companies don’t own people - companies need to have a conversation with their people and find the best way forward, together, without fear of retribution.
