That's when I realised India's gig economy is creating millions of jobs, and women are barely in it.

And there's a good reason for it.
Their families hardly support them. They see it as an insult if a woman has to deliver food to earn money.

But adding women to the workforce can do wonders.
The World Bank estimates that raising women’s participation to 50% could add about 1% to India’s annual economic growth.

In fact, the gig economy wants more women to work.
It's very hard to find a maid nowadays because nobody wants to work for ₹15k when apps like Snabbit pay them ₹20k+ for just 8 hours of the same work daily.

The demand and money are all there.
But apparently, working in an AC office is respectable and delivering orders isn't.
Even respect has a dress code.
