What’s changed?
We stopped ignoring people. That’s what changed.
Autistic people didn’t suddenly appear—they were misdiagnosed, institutionalized, or dismissed as “weird” or “difficult.” Gender-diverse people didn’t just materialize—they were closeted, shamed, or erased. People with celiac disease or food allergies weren’t “tougher” in your day—they were just sick, undiagnosed, and told to suffer in silence. And as for vegans? That’s just people making conscious ethical or dietary choices—something you clearly find threatening for reasons that say more about you than them.
You’re not highlighting a societal collapse. You’re advertising the era of medical neglect, social repression, and anti-intellectualism you came from.
What’s changed is that we’re listening now—to science, to data, and to the people your generation silenced.
And judging by this tweet, you’re still not ready to.
I AM NOT WATCHING THIS HALFTIME SHOW, OUT OF RESPECT FOR MY BROTHER LIL WAYNE, WHO OBVIOUSLY SHOULD BE PLAYING IN HIS HOMETOWN OF NEW ORLEANS. THIS IS JUST SO WRONG.
Phil Lesh blew out the speakers of my first car.
96 Pontiac Grand Am.
He hit the bomb in a Black Throated Wind and all of my factory installed speakers blew out at the same time.
A moment I’ll never forget.
RIP Phil
