Today, on behalf of the Government of Uganda, I joined my Somalian counterpart, H.E Salim Aliyow Ibrow, in signing a Bilateral Labour Agreement (BLA) to establish a framework for regulated employment, fair recruitment, and the protection of workers’ rights and welfare.

The agreement marks an important step in strengthening cooperation between our two brotherly nations, ensuring that labour mobility is underpinned by appropriate safeguards and respect for the dignity and welfare of workers in both countries.

I extend my sincere appreciation to the Ministry of @UgandaMFA, @Mglsd_UG, @MODVA_UPDF , and the Government of Somalia for their concerted efforts and commitment in advancing this process. Their contributions have been instrumental in bringing this important agreement to fruition.

This are Historical times…@KagutaMuseveni The President was left with less than 45 minutes to nomination in Kololo year 2000 …The crowd was overwhelmingly enthusiastic and big crowds…i request him to step out of his vehicle and got on a Boda Boda motorcycle arranged by moses Byaruhanga of state house…and we delivered him to Besweri Akabwai chairman of the Electoral Commission then ….15 minutes before close of the nomination….He was then fully nominated 💪🏾
