I’m pretty sure after watching the DNC that the candidates are after a Utopia or the new heaven and earth. Socialism only works when people are naturally good. If you accept the view of total depravity, you cannot accept socialism at the same time. It doesn’t make logical sense.

Mary was not a slave owner. She was not racist. She did sin just as every other human did. However, in the Catholic faith Mary is seen as a prominent figure. There was zero reasons to tear down the statue. People are angry and they do not even know why. It’s sad really.
