@botticellibimbo Like, obviously a formerly fat person who needed medication to lose their excess weight is going to look different to a person who lost from a healthy (or under) weight
@botticellibimbo That’s not got anything to do with the jabs themselves or the way you lose weight on them, though. It’s all about the starting weight; GLP1 users tend to have a higher starting weight than anorexic people who starve themselves “willingly”, and it affects the end fat distribution.
@neon_heartbeat Okay, but you understand that 1998 was almost 30 years ago and that most of the people who felt that way were older even then? The effect of the wars on culinary culture hasn’t been felt by anyone born after like 1970
When I enter a supermarket all the wokeness leaves my body. Ageism fills my every crevice. I am coming up with slurs for old people that, if spoken aloud, would fell them like a Skyrim shout. I am pacemogging these oldmaxxing chuds and I want us all to die
Always thought Clavicular was a hot guy whose mentality was what made him ugly, and that if he saw a therapist he could be genuinely appealing. But that nose job has destroyed his natural beauty, which is only going to feed into his neuroses. No hope for him now, I’m afraid
Vinted needs separate categories for “liked to train my algorithm even though it’s the wrong size/too expensive/I have no intention of buying it” and “liked because I want to buy it”. I feel bad liking stuff and getting a “can send tomorrow :)” message when I do not want the item
Fitbit buzzing and flashing up a notification telling me I’ve got 137 steps left to walk this hour to hit my goal, while I am absolutely fighting for my life on the toilet. Please girl. Not now
@nonregemesse That’s because royalty exists as a pan-European class that stands aloof from their countrymen – whichever country they come from – while immigrants tend to integrate and contribute to their local communities and economies to at least some extent

@mindofprospect I think you underestimate the power of convenience. I’m big into clean eating/whole foods, but there’s no world in which I would make my own mayo regularly. I reckon the majority of the british public falls at a pretty similar point on the laziness scale
Anybody noticed that potatoes used to come in a clear bag so you could assess their condition in the shop, but now it’s an opaque bag lucky dip situation so they can sell you rotting or sprouted potatoes they otherwise would have to throw away and you won’t know ‘til you get home
"Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them."
— Frank Herbert, Dune
Just watched a very high production-standard YouTube history documentary where the presenter said – multiple times – “fermented” rebellion instead of “fomented”.
Why is the standard for everything today just slightly, irritatingly worse than it was like five years ago?
@sondersai If you can open a bottle of wine and stop after two glasses you are not suffering from alcoholism. You can have a problematic relationship with alcohol without being an alcoholic/having alcohol use disorder; diluting what these terms mean helps no one
