@Iriekun3 it’s an old household technique, some waxy coated plant leaves can temporarily hide scratches on wood because the wax fills the tiny grooves and changes how light reflects from the damaged area. this makes the scratch look less visible. so hannibal was just fixing it!!

this scene gets sm better when you notice hannibal in the corner casually plucking a leaf and rubbing it over the table to get rid of a scratch 🥺 it’s such a tiny detail but it makes his character feel so lived-in
