It's been pretty quiet in the AI world (relative to previous weeks). Here's really all the things I've found interesting this week:
- Meta unveils Movie Gen
- Hailuo AI Unveils Image-to-Video Feature
- New Pyramid Open-Source AI Video Generator
- HeyGen's new "Avatar Looks"
- Zoom Will Let You Create AI Avatars of Yourself
- Geoff Hinton & John Hopfield win Nobel Prize
- Demis Hassabis & John Jumper win Nobel Prize
- Google Imagen 3 Now Widely Available
- Meta AI Launches in Multiple New Countries
- Opera Browser Now Has AI-Powered Tab Management
There's also the Tesla "We, Robot" event happening tonight, where it's expected we'll see Tesla's new autonomous taxi service as well as updates around Optimus... But that likely won't make tomorrow's news video since I'm about to record it soon.
What am I missing? I know there has to be more going on this week than I'm recalling...
@WCBD I talk to a lot of people from a lot of different backgrounds and socioeconomic classes. Not one has said they’re voting for Harris/Walz. I do hear from a lot of them that they will stand in an 8+ hour line if necessary to vote for Trump/Vance.
