From a historical standpoint, Haiti is more suitable to make that joke than U.K. The 1803 Lousiana Purchase —which doubled U.S. size in the 19th c.— resulted from Napoleon’s defeat in Saint Domingue/Haiti. History won’t forever be silenced by oppressors.
