I'm excited for the journey ahead and looking forward to future partnerships!!!
Stop staying indoors. Rather, go out and meet people, connect with others and make yourself available to the opportunities around you.
I recently spoke with someone who travelled back to Nigeria, and one of their biggest regrets was not spending enough time going out, meeting people, exploring places, and building relationships while in the UK. It got me thinking about how many people might be making the same mistake.
You left Nigeria and came to the UK in search of a better life. But the truth is, that better life will not come and meet you on your bed. You must be willing to step outside your comfort zone, explore your environment, meet people, and position yourself for opportunities.
Attend conferences, seminars, and networking events in your field (check Eventbrite). Join local clubs, professional associations, and community groups. Volunteer with local organisations, participate in your local council’s community activities, go on dates, travel to different cities, explore historical sites, and immerse yourself in the culture of your city and environment.
I have seen people secure funding, discover job opportunities, establish businesses, find mentors, and access research collaborations as a result of this.
Don’t just live in a place; become part of it because you never know what opportunities might emerge when you put yourself out there.

These are important elements to consider when preparing a Global Talent endorsement application.
For most individuals I’ve met, the challenge is not always a lack of achievement or evidence. Most times, it is the lack of a coherent structure for presenting the evidence, connecting your achievements and demonstrating your potential.
This is precisely why I am organising a practical Global Talent Endorsement Application Masterclass for recent PhD graduates and Early Career Researchers.
📅 Date: 31 October 2026
⏰ Time: 11 am
🎯 What to expect: Practical templates that I have used to support more than 10 successful applicants, self-assessment exercises and guided CV and personal statement development. By the end of the workshop, you’d have a complete application package ready for submission.
Only 15 places left.

I had a session with a prospective GTV applicant today who, like many others I’ve met, has an excellent CV (First class, distinction-level Master’s degree and a PhD) and outstanding research profile but struggles with the right structure to demonstrate their potential as a leader in their field.
That’s exactly what my upcoming Masterclass is designed to address!
You’ll develop your CV and personal statement using practical templates, guided exercises and self-assessment tools to strengthen your Global Talent endorsement application.
🎯 Ideal for recent or near-completion PhD graduates and Early Career Researchers.
