Our feature artist/tutorial for today is this SUPER-HANDY set of notes on CREASES and FOLDS in clothing by the talented @SavageSmallwood. I love how this draws attention to IMPORTANT DETAILS that are easy to miss - so GOOD! #animationdev#gamedev#comicart#draw
My original idea was to make a Texas-based team called the Power Ranchers. They would use Big Tex to protect the Lone Star State from giant monsters, but I saw someone else posting similar fan art.
My plan is to do six issues a year, changing the suits, powers, and villains every year like the show, until I forget my own name. It won’t be for money or notoriety, but more of an ongoing project to keep me creating, drawing, and writing.
I've wanted to be a comic writer/artist combo creator since I was a kid, but starting my writing journey as I continue to relearn how to draw might be the move.
I know “no one uses the other app” but I might end up spending more time over there and just using Twitter for updates soon. It’s been pretty stagnant over here for months and the comic/nerd community over there has grown so much.
I’ll be using this account to journal my journey of becoming a comic book writer and illustrator. I’ll be doing daily creative writing challenges and daily drawing lessons. Feel free to send any pointers along the way. Hopefully you take this journey with me.
