Rape culture refers to social norms that seek to normalize and undermine sexual abuse and the attitudes that enable it.

When we express entitlement over women’s bodies simply due to how they choose to present themselves, we are engaging in rape culture. When we attempt to police women’s bodies, we are engaging in rape culture.

We must work together to combat invasive attitudes that attack women’s autonomy and excuse their violation.
