✨REST IN PARADISE TO ROY AYERS✨
Roy Ayers was born on September 10, 1940, in Los Angeles, California. He grew up in a musical family, where his father played trombone and his mother played piano. At the age of five, he was given his first pair of vibraphone mallets by Lionel Hampton, a Black American jazz musician. The area of Los Angeles that Ayers grew up in, South Park (later known as South Central) was at the center of the Southern California Black music scene. He attended Thomas Jefferson High School that formed a formative part of the Central Avenue jazz scene. During high school, Ayers sang in the church choir and fronted a band named the Latin Lyrics, in which he played steel guitar and piano. The Godfather of Neo-Soul” Roy Ayers was also a giant in the jazz world. With a career spanning 6 decades he's amassed a diverse and hugely influential collection of timeless hits, including 'Everybody Loves the Sunshine', 'Searchin' and 'Runnin Away'. The 70s saw Ayers come into his own as a composer and bandleader, forming his wildly popular Ubiquity group that fully embraced the funk and dance rhythms that were, and remain, the lifeblood of urban pop music. He died March 4, 2025 at the ripe age of 84.

⚠️Asian customer base and revenue largely comes from the Black community thus, some of these stores may attempt to market themselves as "Black-owned" to deflect boycotts and discourage competition.
Before you began to patronize any establishment, due your due diligence research.
Another example of how media bias works: This predatory sick shit was ignored or praised as the "Rawk and Rowll Life, Dude! 🎸🤘" by the music industry while Black male R&B singers were portrayed as the face of this behavior.
