These cats have been abandoned in a flat in Uxbridge.
People are trying to help them but there is no local rescue. They are running out of time as the council want to repossess very soon. The only offer of help is a charity who has said it will come and euthanise them all.
Please contact the big rescues and ask them for help. You know the ones, the big charities who constantly advertise asking for your money to help animals and then dont. Please contact their Head Offices, CEOs and Donation sites to get some help for these poor cats

@MustardGre53879 @AllisonCGardner I don't believe that's what happened. The Bill was so flawed that they spend many hours debating the safeguarding implications of the committee stage ammendments. I'm really grateful they did. If MPs want to bring it back, it needs a complete rewrite.

Some guy broke into my house and set up residence in the study room. He says his grandparents used to live in this house and now he won't leave.

My family and I tried to kick him out but he got very violent. He brings in his friends and they help beat us up if we ever try to make him leave.

They keep saying I hate the guy because of his religion. I don't even care about his religion, I just don't like sharing my house with some random outsider who broke in here out of nowhere and took my stuff.

"The poor guy just wants one room to call his own," his friends say in his defense. "You and your family have all the surrounding rooms in the house, and yet you have a problem with the guy having sovereignty over ONE room? That's kind of bigoted and evil."

He keeps throwing stuff at me and my family if we get too close to his door, saying we make him feel afraid. His friends say it's understandable because his room is surrounded by enemies who hate him just for existing, but we don't hate him for existing, we hate him because he forcibly inserted himself into our home and keeps throwing stuff at us.

And what's weird is whenever I explain my situation to normal people they completely understand where I'm coming from and agree the guy is being a dick, but if I talk to the police or the local paper they always side with the guy. Almost everyone in town hates this guy now because of how he's been acting, but everyone in power does everything they can to protect him. It's like there's a total disconnect between the authorities and the will of the public on this particular issue.

It's having a nastier and nastier effect on the community at large all across town. The police have been showing up to arrest anyone who says they think the guy's being an asshole. The paper keeps printing these obnoxious lies telling everyone that me and my family are the real criminals and the guy is actually sweet and awesome. It's really unfair.

Things have been so tense and hostile ever since this guy showed up. I honestly think it would be better if he'd never moved in here at all, but whenever I say that his friends claim I'm saying the guy should be exterminated and try to get me in trouble.

It's a real mess, man.

Sir Keir Starmer is reportedly set to resign on Monday.

It could finally be the end of the charisma vacuum, and one of the most mediocre, morally repugnant British Prime Ministers in recent memory…and the bar was scraping the floor.

From declaring that Israel had the right to cut off water from Gaza, a population where 50% of the population is under 18, running spy flights for Israel to commit a genocide, and assisting Israel’s sadistic depravity, Sir Keir Starmer will be remembered in history as a direct participant in genocide.

He continued the failed proxy war against Russia through Ukraine. While Britain post-Brexit could have positioned itself as a key nation operating between East and West, Sir Keir Starmer committed to being a Washington vassal, as most of his unimaginative and mediocre predecessors have as well.

He could have used Britain’s diplomatic service to help end the proxy war in Ukraine, rather than prolong it. Instead he committed to a failed proxy war against Russia through Ukraine, aimed to bring Russia to its knees, which has only resulted in hundreds of thousands, if not over a million Ukrainians dying pointlessly.

At home, he delivered nothing substantial after promising the world, and once again proved that nothing will fundamentally change with milquetoast ‘social democracy’. Britain’s working classes remain impoverished, inequality remains stark, and his failures have fuelled the rise of the far right.

He appointed a close friend of a child abuser, Peter Mandelson, simply because he thought it would deepen the UK’s vassalage to Washington under Trump.

A premiership of utter failure, mediocrity, censorship, and barbarism.

MP Lauren Edwards has announced that she is reintroducing Kim Leadbeater’s assisted suicide bill at Westminster.
In the coming months, our opponents—including Dignity in Dying, which receives hundreds of thousands of pounds in donations from wealthy backers—will be throwing everything they have at persuading MPs to back this extremely dangerous bill.
MPs will vote on the Bill on 11 September. To stop the Bill, we are now planning a summer campaign for which we need to raise an additional £45k to fund summer campaign spending including:

Social media advertising to run through June, July and August

Keep our Westminster advocacy consultants working through the summer months (we had planned to stand them down at this time)

A series of briefings and meetings to inform, resource and mobilise doctors and other healthcare practitioners to engage with their MPs.

Rather than legalising medically assisted killing, polling consistently shows the public would rather Members of Parliament concentrate on:

Fixing palliative care

Reducing NHS waiting times

Addressing the housing crisis

Easing the cost-of-living crisis

Addressing the social care crisis

Recent Mega Poll: Whitestone Insight conducted a survey for The Other Half group, showing that:

60% of the public oppose Parliamentary scrutiny being curtailed in both Houses of Parliament to force the Bill into law by use of the Parliament Acts—including a clear majority of Lauren Edwards’ own constituents.

Only 34% percent of the electorate voted for Labour at the last election.

It would be plain wrong for Labour MP Lauren Edwards to suggest that the Labour Government has a democratic mandate to support the Leadbeater Bill being forced through by use of the Parliament Acts. The Labour manifesto at the last election made no mention of an assisted suicide Bill and so there is no democratic mandate to use the Parliament Acts to force the Bill onto the statute book.

Despite the Government claiming to be neutral, Ministers on the Bill committee (during consideration in the House of Commons) voted against every amendment to improve safeguards that was proposed by MPs who had concerns about the effects of the Bill on vulnerable people.

Additionally, civil servants met with Kim Leadbeater and drafted amendments for her to propose. Despite this assistance, the Bill remained deeply flawed when it was sent for consideration to the House of Lords.

The House of Lords catalogued a host of DANGERS with the Leadbeater Bill, including:

Killing Trumping Health Care: the Government will have to divert money from existing NHS budgets to fund ‘assisted dying’.

Patients’ lives sacrificed (to protect the NHS): the NHS will be incentivised to prioritise assisted deaths over palliative care:

Lord Stevens of Birmingham, former NHS England Chief Executive, described the Leadbeater Bill that Lauren Edwards is reintroducing as a ‘Trojan horse’, designed to fundamentally change the NHS by the back door.

Lord Stevens warned that it would encourage “self-coercion in the name of altruism” where vulnerable patients might choose to die an early death out of a misguided desire to prevent themselves from being a burden on the NHS.

Doctors, Nurses + Hospices NOT protected: instead of allowing medics the choice to "opt in" to participation in medically assisted killing, the Bill assumes they are willing to help end patients' lives unless they opt out.

Hospices and care homes have not been given the right to say they will not participate, either: refusing to participate could see them lose funding.

Bizarrely, if medics mention something to a patient that makes them feel pressured into choosing an assisted death—even if this is completely unintentional—they could face up to life in prison.

People who are suicidal could qualify: those kept in care homes or hospitals over concerns for their safety, or who may be suicidal, could qualify for an assisted death.

Medical bodies say safeguards are inadequate: organisations ranging from Mind to the British Association of Social Workers have said the safeguards are inadequate.

NOT one of the Royal Colleges that submitted evidence to the Leadbeater Bill committee was in favour of the Bill.

In fact, numerous medical organisations in their evidence to Peers said they opposed the Bill despite being neutral on the principle of assisted suicide.

Deadly Coercion: virtual assessments—e.g. by phone or Zoom–are notoriously poor at spotting coercion, yet they could become the norm, increasing the risk of vulnerable people being coerced into an assisted death.

Unborn Children Denied Right to Life: pregnant women at any stage of pregnancy will be able to access an assisted death.

Around 1-in-10 Deaths NOT ‘Peaceful’: the assisted suicide process is not simple or safe.

In Oregon (US), complications occur in 7% of cases annually, with a peak of 14.8% in 2015.

Gas Chambers: the Bill also allows for a future Secretary of State for Health to decide to use other as yet “undefined” substances and devices, such as the personalised gas chamber which has been used in Switzerland by one pro-assisted suicide group.
