Anyone who lives in LA, wants to learn to grow, and isnt white let me know. I’m sick and tired of the same system that’s upheld wh it e supremacy allowing whites to get rich off cannabis.
Bruce Banger update. Still big as hell. Going to trim it down to the third node and try to manifold it. Wish me luck. Never done it with a Sativa before.
Finally recovered from the ph nonsense. I have two classics and a brand new strain I’ve never heard of or smoked before. The Bruce Banger is fast as hell though! All were planted at the same time.
This is just a friendly reminder to always check the ph of the water you’re using. At some point mine stopped being around 6.7 and crept up to 7.8. 7.8 is enough to kill seedlings.
Sorry for the hiatus. These are two Northern Lights babies I planted a few days ago! I poked 4 holes in paper cups with metal skewers and planted directly into coco coir.
Here is a picture from this mornin when they have grown a bit more and the seed casing has mostly fallen off. As you can see, the Sour Diesel was growing a little tall, so I added a bit more substrate to keep it standing up, and I also started running an oscillating fan.
As the size of the containers grows so to will the time between watering. These tiny containers are kind of high maintenance but it makes the first stage in the growing cycle a lot easier. I am using a T5 fluorescent light, which is cheap to get and doesn’t cost much to run.
I poke 4 holes in the bottom with a small kebab skewer for drainage. I make a small divot in the middle of the cup, drop a seed in, and carefully cover it about 1/4”-1/2” with the substrate. I’ve never had a viable seed fail with this method.
Okay, on to the good shit! Here we have two seeds that I planted last weekend. As you can maybe see by the writing, I planted one Jack Herer seed and one Sour Diesel seed. I have never grown either of these strains before, but I love smoking both of them.
I like coconut coir because it is cheap and relatively resistant to things like mold and fungus. As you can see, I also do not cover the paper cups I use. If they start to dry out I simply water them. Leaving them uncovered also helps keep them aerated and resistant to mold.
