Covering the Tsunami Warning live on air so can't answer everyone but this is what we all need to do....we need to take this tsunami warning seriously until we get the all clear. Live near the coast? Seek higher ground until all clear.
All City of Santa Cruz beaches are now closed! I don’t know about County beaches.
I’m at the harbor, not much happening here. Harbor Patrol has their boat out, and SCFD are here ready to respond
MARINERS in #TsunamiWarning area: take your vessel OUT TO SEA to a depth of at least 180 feet!
That will allow tsunami energy to pass throughout the entire water column beneath you.
It will be compressed into more serious waves/rise in water at the coast!
⚠️ Davenport and points north are being evacuated. I heard that SCPD is telling people to get off the beaches. I’ll be at harbor in a few minutes and will try to get more info. Capitola Village is not, NOT, being evacuated
There is a major delay system wide in all directions. There is currently no Transbay Tube service to or from San Francisco due to a report of an earthquake. Please seek alternate means of transportation.

"Tsunami coming to West Berkeley. EVACUATE NOW. Stay east of 7th St. See https://t.co/Q7EBsaq1Se.

The tsunami evacuations begin in Davenport and go north up through Oregon. I did see that Capitola put out an evacuation for Capitola village and the Sheriffs are mobilizing if they’re needed
NEW TSUNAMI WARNING:
"TSUNAMI WARNING IS IN EFFECT COASTAL NORTH BAY TO DAVENPORT INCLUDING INSIDE SAN FRANCISCO BAY.

Tsunami waves are expected to reach the coast in San Francisco around 12:10 pm. Tsunami sirens are going off along the coastline in parts of Northern California.
Waves may already be impacting Eureka and Fort Bragg.
