I could conclude you haven’t seen thousands of tweets of people who don’t get their money returned. If you get your credit returned please share how you do it

@DarkBlondAngel @shanahan62x @MartinSLewis @edfenergy Can you explain why it’s stupid advice? As the bill payer you are in control of your own money and how you spend it. If your in credit then you don’t need to pay anything. Once you’ve used your balance then you can reinstate your DD or make a straight payment.

Surely it can’t affect it while your in credit and therefore still in a position to pay the bill? I’ve cancelled by DD for council tax and fuel bills before as I was in credit and never been an issue.

@soxxylady @MartinSLewis Cancel your DD. Reinstate when you’ve used the credit on your account. It’s your money. Don’t give them anymore if you already have credit balance
