Context/Details:
June 4, 2024, Texas.
Houston meteorologist Adam Krueger demonstrated his creative flair during the CW39 weather broadcast by cleverly incorporating lyrics from Kendrick Lamar’s "Not Like Us" to describe the sweltering temperatures in Texas.
In his weather report, Krueger said, “Let’s say you want to travel somewhere cooler. How many opps you got? If you wanna pass on this heat like John Stockton you can go into the Northwest where there’s 60s and 70s for highs today.” This playful approach, channeling his inner-Kendrick, added a unique twist to the forecast, though it may have left some viewers confused.
He further elaborated, “This is not a major cold front. In fact, the general rule this time of year if it’s June and we’re talking about a cold front, it’s probably a minor.” His humorous delivery continued with, “So again, we got temperatures in the 90s, but it’s going to feel hotter for several days. Wop, wop, wop, wop!”
Krueger later clarified in the comment section that he is not taking sides in the ongoing Kendrick-Drake feud, stating, “For the record, I’m not picking sides. I want no part of this beef.” His witty and engaging style, however, was well-received by fans, with one commenter dubbing him a “Certified weather man.”
Adding to the fun, one of the cameras panned to reveal a printed-out photo of Drake taped underneath the lens. This isn’t the first time Krueger has blended rap lyrics into his weather reports. He previously went viral for incorporating lines from Eminem’s “Without Me” and Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz’s “Get Low.”
Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” has seen significant success, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in May and holding strong at No. 2. The track, produced by Mustard, also ranks No. 2 on the 2024 Songs of the Summer chart, which was updated on Tuesday.

It is going to be a very good matchup when the Texans and Cowboys meet this season. The way C.J. Stroud and Micah Parsons matched each other’s energy on the offense vs defense in this clip is amazing.
