A global collective using creativity to imagine a better world.

We created a fake ad agency to pitch for the biggest #fossilfuel company on earth. Here’s the inside story of how it blew up🔥

Massive credit to Jamie Kolkot's creator @olifro_st, pitch maestros @UtopiaBureau and LinkedIn for not banning us (so far) https://t.co/jKzkExhltB

Back of the net! Loving this takedown of @TotalEnergies AFCON sponsorship from our pals @Greenpeaceafric, @MagambaNetwork and @JolyonRubs. Some absolute belters in here ⚽️#KickTotalOutOfAFCON https://t.co/pcYMev5eL9

🪄😵‍💫⚡️USE YOUR INFLUENCE⚡️😵‍💫🪄

We’ve been on a mission lately, to expose the greenwashing antics that are dirtying up our feeds. 🚙💨

So far we’ve:

⚠️ Worked with Desmog to discover exactly how companies like Shell, BP and Exxon are using influencers to run cover for their dirty practices 💰

🎒Collaborated with trailblazing creative duo Alice & Lara to introduce the world to Sally: the influencer who, try as she might, can’t quite stomach the lies she’s been paid to tell 🤢

🗞️ Got coverage from @Campaignmagazine, @Adage, @Novaramedia, @shots_creative and more 📢

🚫 Got into beefs with @linkedin, who refuse to let Sally on their platform, while oil and gas companies flood the feeds of hustlepreneurs and aspiring young professionals with greenwash 🚩

It’s been a busy couple of weeks, and there’s more to come 👀

Massive thanks to all our partners for their ongoing creativity and support!

Sally is the face of a new type of greenwashing that’s clogging up our feeds 🤮️

Oil companies are paying influencers to make their dirty businesses look good, even though they are the primary driver of climate change.

We worked with creative duo Alice & Lara to bring Sally to life and kick off a month of content about this growing trend.

Hit the link in our bio to read about these toxic collaborations and find out about some of the worst offenders.

Save the world, unfollow a greenwasher.

Our friends at @CreativesforC are hiring a Managing Director! A brilliant organisation so do check out the job role via the link

[Adfree Cities @adfreecities]

We’re outside the offices of ad agency @Wunthompsonuk today to present them with a “best in greenwash” award!

WT made the #PoweringProgress ads for @Shell_UKLtd - which were yesterday banned by the UK ad watchdog for being misleading GREENWASH.

It was great to join our friends @Eko_Movement in Edinburgh last week for @abrdn_plc annual shareholder meeting.

Repeat after me: individual actions will not solve the climate crisis 🙅‍♀️

Narratives such as "technology will save us" and "it's up to individuals to change their habits" are just as insidious as outright climate denial.

We must keep our attention on where power lies... (1/2)

Farzanah powerfully highlights the ecological destruction of Iran, a country more widely recognised for its human rights violations.

Next time you take a walk, see how far you get before you see a piece of advertising.

Instead of having companies with not-so-subtle agendas speaking to us every 50 metres, why couldn’t we use those spaces to write hopeful, meaningful messages to one another?

[Glimpse @weglimpse]

Students build and crush their values in response to climate change.

Why do our values change as we get older?
Is it the pressures of working life, having skin in the game that moves us to discard our liberal views and refer to them as idealistic?

There's hope yet!

"millennial voters are not following the chart’s trend, where generations have become more conservative as they age"

"millennials “in both Britain and the US are by far the least conservative 35-year-olds in recorded history”"

If that's millennials, I can't wait to see what GenZ will be like in their 30s.

Our banks are in a hidden relationship with oil companies. Together, they’re fuelling climate change 🔥

What invigorates your memory?🧠🙋

The students that exhibited at the Note To Self exhibition looked to their past to write a powerful message that would remind their future selves to stick to their values in the face of advertising briefs that might ask them to do otherwise.

A win for junior doctors is a win for all of us. Full support to those striking today ✊

It blows our minds that doctors, nurses, or indeed anyone who provides essential public services in one of the richest countries in the world should have to go on strike simply to get fair pay and working conditions.
