I think the acting in the movies overall is really strong, like I think Sean Astin is a pretty great Sam in a lot of ways, but I think they really fucked up the character, script wise

@BorkThrone @BrettTharp He’s a great actor, but Frodo he ain’t. Maybe he could play the part properly now, at least he’s age appropriate. Maybe more than the casting is how gormless they made the character of Frodo compared to the books. Maybe still not as butchered as samwise’s arc
