Idk but Michelle Obama telling Barack “You told me all those years ago that you couldn't promise me the world, but you could promise me an interesting life. And, of course you outdid yourself and managed to give me both." is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard someone say to another 🥹
Being part of a generation that was told “Wikipedia is not a source” makes it genuinely baffling to me that jobs are now telling people to just use ChatGPT for everything.
There’s a quote that says, “to be loved is to be known.”
Whenever me and my ex slept together, I’d ask him to set the fan to 3 because it was hot. And every time he’d ask the same thing:
“Why do you have a blanket on if it’s hot?”
And every time I’d explain that I can’t sleep without a blanket. Not because I’m cold — it just gives me comfort.
It seems like such a small thing.
But after years, you’d think someone who loves you would know the little things that make you you.
Because to be loved isn’t just to be chosen.
It’s to be known.
It’s to be understood in the quiet details of who you are.
And maybe the saddest part of losing someone you loved for so long.. is realizing that after all that time,
they never really learned the language of you.
Y'all my brother proposed to his girlfriend today. She is from japan, so he learned to ask her in Japanese. When she answered, he stared at her blankly. Cause he forgot to learn the words for "yes" and "no"😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
one time I talked to this old man and he told me to "find a vacation everyday, even if it's walking outside and feeling the grass between your toes" and that is what 2026 will b all about. Finding a vacation, everyday.
I’m at the age where EVERYTHING goes on my calendar. Work meetings, nail appointments, friend hangouts, crying, happy hour, hair appointments, etc. if it’s not on my calendar it’s not happening.
