Contemplating about life, I thought about the things I faced in University, difficult, happy, stressful times, etc. But I also think about the accomplishments and leaving the Educational Institution with gratitude and my name on the Dean's list of academic excellence. 🤘👊💃

It is complete. A gift for a friend who I consider family. It's called Family. Two original designs by Late Gracie Orr from Chisasibi, Quebec and redesigned into one by the late Gerti Murdoch from Waskaganish, Quebec. Gifted to Gerti's son Paul John. ❤️

@robinparker_plg I meant My Grandmother's Garden is at the museum. This one (Family) is still in the works. It's a gift for a friend.

This one is called family. Original design made by The late Gracie Orr from Chisasibi. Slight modifications made by the Late Gerti Murdoch.

@robinparker_plg It was displayed last year at the OCAD gallery in TO. It is now housed at a museum in Ouje-Bougoumou, Quebec. It will possibly come back to Montreal this summer.

@IMStrong59 @christibelcourt It's beaded on a 40 year old caribou hide. My father's last caribou harvest. He stopped harvesting this relative because he noticed the populations were declining. It's a piece I cut out from My Grandmother's Garden.
