Behaving like a scorned ex, Rahul Gandhi chose spite over decency - publicly calling Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu a “traitor” at Parliament and then offering a performative handshake for the cameras.

But this wasn’t just a jab at one individual. When you brand a Sikh as a 'traitor' so casually, you tap into an ugly vocabulary this country has paid for in blood - and you denigrate a community whose patriotism is written into India’s history.

Opposition is a constitutional role, not an excuse for communal insinuation and personal vendetta. Parliament deserves arguments. India’s Sikhs deserve respect.
