Trukhaniv Island
Back in the times of Kyiv Rus, this was the Olzhische settlement. In 19th century, there was the Dnieper Shipping Company.
During WW2, the settlement was completely burnt out, except the only one wooden house and remains of a church and a school foundations.

Although there is not much remaining of this late 19th c. building, it is a local architectural monument.
Here, the famous #Ukrainian writer Ivan Nechuy-Levitsky spent the last years of his life; there are plans to open the museum in the house.

On #russianinvasion day 4, the #Russians deliberately burned down the museum in Ivankiv, where the paintings of the world-famous naïve artist Maria Prymachenko were stored.
Luckily, local residents were able to save some of her works.

One of the biggest museums in Europe, the National Museum of Medicine in #Kyiv was opened in the former Anatomical Theatre in 1982. Full-scale interiors and dioramas, pieces of art and sculpture, documentary films create an entire panorama of medicine development in Ukraine.

Castle of Baron Rudolph Steingel
Baron Rudolf Steingel and his family lived in the castle, which he purchased and rebuilt in the late 1870s. This manor house can still be seen on Bulvarno-Kudryavska Street.
