Book tasting time! Ss brought in their favorite book and made a poster & wrote about their favorite part. Then, they set displays at their table and enjoyed exploring the different genres & authors. The kids were excited & motivated to be active readers! #ngespride

Do you ever put out a math manipulative and ask the kids to explore and share their observations? I make it part of my practice for each new math tool. Today they explored pop it 100 charts - immediately engaged and they made amazing observations! #ngespride

1st grade wrapped up our economics unit with a STEAM project! Ss created a business, determined if their business sold goods or provided a service and placed it on the correct street - Goods Rd or Service St.

2-2-2022! Students created award winning paper airplanes following step by step directions from our “how to” writing unit. Then, they measured 2 feet, 4 feet and 6 feet to toss their airplanes. Engaged students covering our first grade standards! #ngespride
