Kentucky employers gave us clear feedback. Entry-level tech workers have an advantage if they know how to collaborate with a team, including using GitHub and Agile Project Management. That’s why all our We Lead CS students get training in both and use GitHub for class projects.
We Lead CS prepares KY high school students for the tech workforce. That means teaching them how to *do* the job and how to *get* the job. We help them build resumes & get interview experience. We also offer career coaching.
⭐This summer We Lead CS hosted a JumpStart program in which select Kentucky students earned $15 an hour for participating in workforce training, led by employers right here in the commonwealth. We appreciated the positive feedback we got from both students and employers!
🚸Can you believe it? It’s already back-to-school time. Some Kentucky districts have already started!
🏫 We Lead CS teachers are ready to hit the ground running. We help students prepare for the workforce with job shadowing & mock interview opportunities – even paid internships.
🎂This month, we celebrate the anniversary of the World Wide Web, which changed the way we do business. Students in We Lead CS's Jump Start program built their own chat room this summer. Hands-on, interactive, real-world experience makes students excited about a future career.
💡KY employers know best what skills they need! That’s why we work closely with area business leaders & Chambers. Last week, we awarded the Scottsville-Allen County Chamber of Commerce $20,000 to help get Allen County employers involved in preparing the tech workforce.
