Is your "Thriller" actually just a Drama with a gun in it?
https://t.co/FKf3RdTWud
In the film business, we talk about the "Genre Promise."
When a producer buys a Horror script, they are buying a specific physiological reaction: fear. When they buy a Thriller, they are buying tension.
The fastest way to get a "Pass" is a mismatch between your Logline and your Execution.
I see this constantly in amateur screenplays:
The Pitch: "It's John Wick meets Die Hard."
The Script: 20 pages of the hero discussing their divorce in a coffee shop.
That isn't character development. That is genre confusion.
The Reality Check:You are too close to your work to feel the pacing objectively. You need a cold, hard look at the data.
AIScriptCoveragePro analyzes your Action-to-Dialogue Ratio and Tonal Sentiment page by page.
If you claim it’s an Action movie, but your Action scores are under 10%, something is wrong.
If you claim it's a Comedy, but the Sentiment Analysis is consistently "Negative/Tragic," you have a tone problem.
Don't let a producer tell you your script is boring. Let the data tell you first, so you can fix it before the meeting.

Whose movie is this, really? 🎬
A common diagnosis in rejected scripts is "Passive Protagonist Syndrome." This happens when your hero spends the movie reacting to the villain or being led around by a mentor/sidekick.
If your sidekick has all the best lines and your villain drives all the plot, you don't have a hero—you have a victim.
The Data Doesn't Lie: It’s hard to notice this when you're writing. You love your side characters! But AIScriptCoveragePro strips away the emotion and gives you the raw numbers:
Dialogue Dominance: Who is talking the most?
Scene Presence: Who is actually in the scenes that matter?
If your Hero is at 30% and your Villain is at 45%, you have a problem. Ensure your lead is the one driving the car, not just sitting in the passenger seat.
Check your Dialogue Dominance on AI Script Coverage Pro. If the sidekick talks more than the lead, rewrite the scene.

"I am very angry at you for what you did." 🤖
If your characters speak like this, you have an "On-the-Nose" problem.
In real life, we rarely say exactly what we mean. We lie, we deflect, we use sarcasm. We talk about the weather when we really mean "I'm leaving you."
The Rule of Subtext: If the text matches the subtext perfectly, the scene is dead.
Try this Exercise:Take your most direct line of dialogue ("I love you") and ask https://t.co/w9ONDHUfhv for 5 variations based on different contexts:
Context: They are breaking up. -> "Take care of yourself."
Context: They are hiding a secret. -> "You're the only good thing here."
Context: They are rivals. -> "I hate how good you are."
Stop writing robots. Start writing people.
Use https://t.co/w9ONDHUfhv to generate dialogue variations based on emotional context, not just literal meaning.
Give your characters secrets.

"But it makes sense in my head!"
That is the most dangerous phrase a screenwriter can utter.
Its called Structure Blindness. You’ve lived with your characters so long that you fill in the narrative gaps with your own imagination, assuming the audience can see them too. They can’t.
If your Second Act feels "slow" to a reader, it’s usually because the stakes stopped rising.
The Fix: Stop relying on your gut feeling. Look at the shape of your story.
If the line goes flat between pages 45 and 75, you have a problem.
It doesn’t matter how "cool" the dialogue is if the line is flat.
Get an objective structural diagnosis. See your story, not your imagination.

The "Blinking Cursor" is the most aggressive antagonist in your movie.
There is a psychological phenomenon called "Analysis Paralysis." When you stare at a blank page, the infinite possibilities actually freeze you. You’re afraid of writing the wrong word, so you write no words.
Professional screenwriters know the secret: Give yourself permission to write badly.
It’s called the "Vomit Draft" for a reason. You can't fix a blank page, but you can fix a bad script. The goal is to get the clay on the table so you can start sculpting.
How to break the paralysis instantly: Don't ask your brain to create ex nihilo. Reacting is easier than creating.
Use https://t.co/w9ONDHUfhv to generate 5 rapid-fire scene variations for your opening.
Maybe you hate all 5. Good. Now you know what you don't want.
Maybe variation #3 has a cool location you hadn't thought of.
Suddenly, you aren't starting from zero. You're editing. You're reacting. You're writing.
Stop staring. Start sculpting.

"If you haven't hooked me by page 10, I'm already thinking about lunch."
That is the brutal reality of a Hollywood script reader. Studio readers have piles of scripts (the "slush pile") to get through daily. They are looking for a reason to say "Pass" so they can move on to the next one.
The most common reason for a rejection isn't a bad third act; it’s a slow first ten pages.
The 3-Point Checklist for Your First 10 Pages:
Tone: Is this a comedy or a thriller? If I don't know by page 5, you're out.
Protagonist: Do I know what they want? (Or at least, what they think they want?)
The Catalyst: Has the status quo been disrupted?
You can't be objective about your own opening. You've read it too many times.
Try this: Run your script through https://t.co/9csIKGtTae. Our algorithm mimics the behavior of an impatient studio reader, flagging pacing drags and tonal inconsistencies before a human ever sees it.
Don't let your masterpiece die on page 11.

Finally!
- After four months of 10-12 hour days.
- Teaching myself to build my first full-stack multi-tenant application.
- Wrestling with iframe architecture until 2am.
- Debugging problems I didn't even have words for yet.
- Having almost quit 637 times.
Today, I launch Challenger Pro to https://t.co/64f3jLRUle's app store.
Four months ago, I'd never built a multi-tenant SaaS application. I knew the concepts from years of enterprise architecture work—Wall Street trading platforms, healthcare systems at scale—but actually building one from scratch?
That was new territory.
The Whop platform has a unique architecture: your app runs as an iframe embedded within each creator's community. You maintain one database but implement tenant isolation for potentially thousands of creators. You're building views for both sellers and customers that switch based on user role.
Every query needed tenant isolation. Every edge case needed handling. And I was learning Next.js, React, Supabase, and the Whop SDK simultaneously.
It was the hardest thing I've done in the years of building digital systems.
And I did it solo.
Challenger Pro lets creators build viral, gamified challenges for their communities. Think fitness transformations, learning sprints, creative challenges—anything where accountability drives results.
If you're a creator on https://t.co/64f3jLRUle running courses, coaching, or communities—this is built for you. Your community doesn't just want content to consume. They want transformation they can prove.
I chose to build on Whop because it's where the creator economy is scaling.
The numbers speak for themselves: $2 billion in payments processed over the last five years, 11 million users. Over 100,000 creators. A $1.2 billion valuation.
This isn't a startup hoping to find product-market fit—it's a platform that's already won.
Their app store puts your product in front of creators actively looking for ways to add value.
I left my Director role at a billion-dollar healthcare company to pursue this. I learned no-code tools first, then pushed into modern development stacks.
I built https://t.co/9csIKGuqZM in seven days earlier this year. But Challenger Pro was different. Multi-tenant architecture. Iframe constraints. Complex state management across creator and participant views.
The skills that got me here: enterprise infrastructure thinking, cloud architecture, relentless problem-solving, and the willingness to sit with confusion until it becomes clarity.
If you're building solo and wondering if it's possible—it is. It just takes longer.
I'm switching hats to digital marketing mode now. First up: a video featuring The Challenger, putting those AI filmmaking skills from earlier this year to work.
If you're a creator on Whop, I'd love for you to try it. If you work at Whop, I'd love to connect—you've built something remarkable, and I'm excited to be building on it.
And thank you to everyone who's supported this journey. 🙏

I’ll keep this short.
In just a few hours, the Black Friday bundle for The AI Film School closes.
No more 95% discount. No more $29.85 all-access deal.
If you’re still reading these emails, it probably means one thing:
You know AI is changing filmmaking.
You know you should be learning this.
You just haven’t taken the step yet.
This is that step.
Here’s the link, one last time:

Either way, thanks for being on this journey with me.

Let’s jump 90 days into the future.
It’s three months from now and you’ve:
- Finished a new script (or finally completed the one that’s been haunting you).
- Generated concept art and keyframes for your world.
- Cut a proof-of-concept trailer or scene using AI video tools.
- Built a small but real audience that’s following your project.
That’s not a fantasy.
That’s what happens when you combine:

I’ve been getting a lot of replies that sound like this:
“I’m interested, but I’m not very technical.”
“I’m slammed right now.”
“I’m not sure I’m ‘ready’ for AI yet.”
Let’s clear this up.
“I’m not technical.”
Most students of The AI Film School are writers and creatives, not engineers.
You’ll get step-by-step videos that show you where to click, what to type, and why it matters. If you can send an email, you can follow this.
“I don’t have time.”
You don’t need 20 hours a week.
The 30-Day S.P.R.I.N.T. Method is built around short, focused actions:
- 30–60 minutes a day
- Clear daily prompts
- A concrete outcome: a finished script or major progress on your project
Even if all you do is follow that one framework, your year from now will look very different.
“Maybe I’ll wait until later.”
I get it.
But the industry isn’t waiting.
AI tools are improving monthly. Writers and filmmakers who learn them now will be the ones shaping what comes next.
The Black Friday bundle is priced at $29.85 precisely so “later” doesn’t have to be an option.

Today I want to highlight three pieces of the bundle that most people overlook—but my students end up loving.
Director Notebooks eBooks + Podcast
These are deep dives into filmmakers like:
- Stanley Kubrick
- Francis Ford Coppola
- Akira Kurosawa
- David Lynch
- Aaron Sorkin (as writer-creator)
Each episode and notebook breaks down how they design scenes, structure stories, and use visual language—powered by https://t.co/Bi52KJ1zHb analysis.
This is film school in your earbuds.
Screenwriter’s Radio
Writing is easier when your environment is right.
You’ll get curated playlists and original tracks designed to help you lock in, focus, and stay in the world of your story.
Midjourney Master
Finally, you’ll learn how to:
- Generate concept art for characters, locations, and props
- Build mood boards and style frames
- Create visual assets for pitch decks, social posts, and proof-of-concept videos
If you’re a visual thinker, this part alone can unlock your project in a whole new way.
Again: all of this is part of the $29.85 Black Friday bundle.
https://t.co/I72TQSyBnh
Most screenwriting courses stop at the script.
The AI Film School bundle goes further.
Cinematography Course – “Writing with Motion”
Inside this course, you’ll learn how to:
- Use composition to guide the audience’s eye.
- Choose camera movement that adds emotion, not just motion.
- Set genre-appropriate visual style.
- Shape mood and meaning with lighting.
- Use color as narrative.
- Build mood boards and storyboards that feed directly into AI image and video tools.
Whether you’re shooting with a smartphone or planning AI-generated sequences, this is the bridge between screenwriting and directing.
https://t.co/I72TQSz9cP
All of this is included in the $29.85 Black Friday bundle.
Sale ends Friday, December 5th, 2025
