Are you the kind of person who gets caught up in your head? One thing you can do to manage this is to get out of your head & into your body. A great exercise that can help this is a body scan meditation - we love this version from UCLA: https://t.co/XV224WsYAV #corporatewellbeing
As we approach the end of 2019 it's a great time to look back & celebrate the small and big successes of the year. Why not try our little year end #ritual? 🎉 Set a timer for 10 minutes & write a list of all the things you're proud of yourself for achieving in 2019. #wellbeing
If you're off work this week why not spend time in #nature? One theory about why this is beneficial is that stepping on plants as you walk releases calming volatiles. We think having time in fresh air, away from traffic & noise is a lovely post-Christmas gift to give yourself.
You might have heard about needing to take tech breaks - one big reason is blue light! Blue light needs more energy to process & the cumulative effect causes eye strain, dry eyes & mental exhaustion. Make tech-free time & apply blue light filters when you can! #workplacewellbeing
Merry #Christmas from all of us at Wellness London! We hope you have a beautiful day. Thanks so much to all our lovely clients, consultants and followers. We wish a peaceful and restorative festive break 🎄

With Christmas now just a couple of days away it's a good reminder to mono rather than multi-task! Take one task at a time, complete and then move to the next. And the odd sip of mulled wine in between might help too 🤶 🎅 #workplacewellbeing
As we start to wind down for #Christmas don't forget to get some R&R in amongst the festive busyness. If you can, switch off work email notifications - or even take a total tech break on Christmas Day. And if you get a touch of Christmas overwhelm, pause for a few breaths!
As the days get shorter & chillier, if you're exercising outside make sure you take a little care to stay safe. Wear bright & reflective clothing, stick to well-lit areas - and you might like to exercise with a buddy for extra security! #workplacewellbeing
What's your favourite Christmas flavour? The odd mince pie is very yummy - but you can use Christmas-inspired flavours in many different ways. We love a grating of nutmeg over porridge or a handful of cranberries through a roast squash & stilton salad. #workplacewellness
In this busy time of the year, if you start feeling a bit overwhelmed why not try a little touch of mindfulness? If you feel your head whirling, take a few breaths and choose 1 sense to focus on to ground you in the present moment. #mindfulnessatwork
Dogs aren't just for #Christmas! Did you know that petting dogs has been linked to decreased stress levels? A healthy dose of dog patting can help reduce the cortisol in your bloodstream. If you can't have your own dog, why not offer to help out a neighbour with their pooch?
Part of understanding our bodies is knowing they change with the seasons - including when it comes to #sleep 😴 Our bodies produce more of the sleep hormone #melatonin during autumn & winter so let your body rest & recover with cosy nights in when it needs it #workplacewellbeing
