You can now earn a PhD in China by creating a product instead of writing a 100-page dissertation!
China has grown tired of PhD students writing research papers that no one reads and is now demanding that they build real products instead.
This radical shift in the philosophy of higher education in China represents a formal transition from "textual academia" to "utilitarian academia," where the traditional doctoral dissertation is replaced by the creation of a tangible product. The brilliance of this idea lies in its direct approach to the scourge of "dead research" that consumes years of researchers' efforts only to remain locked away in drawers, thus transforming the university from an intellectual silo into a productive engine that feeds the market and fosters innovation immediately.
@RaouldeBoer@stats_feed Yes, this is accurate based on data from the Norwegian Road Traffic Information Council (OFV). In January 2026, only 7 new petrol cars were registered, alongside 29 hybrids, 98 diesels, and over 2,000 EVs. Source: https://t.co/0o7W0UcL8r
THIS YOU WILL NEVER LEARN IN SCHOOL
• Africa area: 30.37 million km²
• China area: 9.6 million km²
• US area: 9.8 million km²
• Europe area: 10.18 million km²
Africa is larger than Europe, China, and the United States combined.
Yet on most world maps, Africa is shown smaller. This is done deliberately to create the impression of a small Africa and manipulate perceptions.
• Africa has 60% of the world’s arable land
• Africa holds 90% of global raw material reserves
• Africa has 40% of global gold reserves
• Africa has 33% of diamond reserves
• Africa has 80% of the world’s coltan reserves (key for phones and electronics), mostly in the Democratic Republic of Congo
• Africa has 60% of global cobalt reserves (essential for batteries)
• Africa is rich in oil and natural gas
• Africa (Namibia) has the world’s richest fish stocks
• Africa is rich in manganese, iron, and wood
Africa is three times larger than China, three times larger than Europe, and three times larger than the United States.
Africa covers 30.87 million km² and has 1.3 billion inhabitants (China has 1.4 billion in 9.6 million km²).
This means Africa is underpopulated.
The arable land of the Democratic Republic of Congo alone could feed all of Africa.
All of Africa’s arable land could feed the entire world.
The DRC’s rivers could provide electricity for the whole continent.
The problem is that the CIA, Western companies, and some African puppets have destabilised the DRC for decades.
Africa is the most culturally diverse continent in dance, music, architecture, and sculpture.
Africa has 30,000 medicinal recipes and herbs that the West adapts in its laboratories.
Africa has the world’s youngest population, projected to reach 2.5 billion by 2050.
AFRICA REPRESENTS THE FUTURE OF HUMANITY
A South Sudanese 🇸🇸 man, Thon Chol Riak, has married Atong Aguto Monyroor after outbidding a rival in a fierce marriage contest, paying a staggering dowry of $77,000 in cash, 297 cows, and plots of land in South Sudan.
His competitor had offered $25,000 and 158 cows, but fell short as Riak sealed the union in a lavish wedding ceremony.
Insurance feels more & more like a massive scam
Someone in an old Toyota Yaris reversed into my Aston Martin DBS
I tried to claim on the insurance
Her insurance, not mine, because it was her fault. My car was stationary
Her repair bill: £50. MY repair bill: £5,000
And not ONLY did my trying to claim on HER insurance put MY insurance premium up…
It put the premium up on all my other cars (7 cars) including business partners’ cars
AND my business fleet of cars (total 15 cars) AND for the next FIVE years. WTF
For a car reversing into my PARKED car
A week later I stopped at a junction & some guy went into the back of my f*cking Aston Martin again
Of course he was sorry
Another 5 grand repair bill. So that's 10 grand for two claims I can't make
Imagine if I’m ill and YOUR health insurance goes up, because I touched you
I mean, that would be a scam, wouldn’t it?
Have you ever tried to claim for anything? Almost impossible to get any money
And if you do, you end up paying MORE & your premium is higher that it was
Why is no one talking about this?

Wow! Just a few years ago Biden passed laws to limit China’s access to advanced US chips in an effort to “contain China’s growth”
Fast forward to today and some of the most important American tech companies are now thinking of using Chinese chips to meet demand as supply chains are experiencing difficulty
Amazing how fast things change in just a few short years 👇
96% of all new cars sold in Norway 🇳🇴 in 2025 were electric.
When I was in the Norwegian government we decided to go for electrical cars. There were many nay sayers. Now they keep mum. We made it!
There is no rocket science:
* Change the tax burden so that electric cars become cheaper relative to fossil cars.
* Start rolling out charging facilities.
* Give introductory offers to electric car owners - easier access to parking, traveling in bus lanes, reduced price on ferries.
The first buyers of electric cars were environmentalists. Now the buyers are - yes, everyone.
I have never met a person who said that he or she regretted the shift from fossil to electric. The electric car is simply a much better car. Even people who hate environment policies, love electric cars. They are:
* More high tech
* Much cheaper to run
* More fit for autonomous driving
* Less noise, less pollution
* Easier to heat in winter - you just use the app.
* Smoother acceleration
“If you want to be big and dominate in business, you better work like the Chinese.”
I heard this statement from someone and it stuck with me.
When people say “work like the Chinese in business”, they are usually not talking about nationality, they mean a style of execution that has made many Chinese small business , big businesses and companies scale extremely fast.
It’s a shorthand for a business culture built around speed, discipline, volume, and long-term dominance.
1. Relentless execution speed
Chinese businesses move very fast.
-They launch quickly
-Test many versions
-Kill what fails
-Double down on what works
2. High-volume iteration, I so like this one
Instead of one “perfect” product, they release many variations:
-10 ads instead of 1
- 5 product versions instead of 1
- 20 suppliers instead of 2
- 10 TikTok pages
- daily live stream with over 10 phones in the warehouse
They let the market choose.
3. Extreme cost efficiency
They obsess over:
-Low production cost
-Thin margins
-High turnover
- Massive scale
Profit comes from volume + efficiency, not high pricing.
4. Copy fast, then improve
They don’t waste time “inventing” if something already works.
They:
-Study winning models
-Replicate quickly
-Improve price, speed, distribution, or UX
This is why platforms like Shein, Temu, TikTok Shop, Alibaba grew so fast.
5. Long-term dominance mindset
They think in years, not months.
- Capture market first
- Optimize later
- Crush competitors by scale
They’re willing to run small profits now to control the market later. You see how Opay has taken the Nigerian market ?
6. Operational discipline
Very strong systems:
-Clear roles
-Daily metrics
-Tight deadlines
Work is treated like a factory of outcomes.
In today’s world, the real edge is not just intelligence.
It’s speed, volume, and execution.
If you want to be big and dominate in business…
you have to start working like this.
Let me know if you learnt something here ?
Tesla - You can drive, go home
BMW - You can drive, go home
Mercedes - You can drive, go home
Audi - You can drive, go home
Porsche - You can drive, go home
Bugatti - You can drive, go home
I don’t understand one thing about car lovers. They say, “This car has 500 horsepower, the pickup is insane.” If your car goes from 0 to 60 speed one second slower, are you going to lose your job? At the end of the day, you are still sitting in traffic like everyone else, just holding a fancier steering wheel. People have really lost their common sense.
We've spent 50 years trying to kill cancer cells. What if the answer was never to kill them but to remind them who they are?
Cancer cells aren't foreign invaders. They're your own cells that lost their identity. They stopped differentiating, stopped maturing, and started growing without limits. Cancer doesn't create anything new. It hijacks normal biology.
Researchers at KAIST in South Korea identified three master regulators, MYB, HDAC2, and FOXA2, keeping colon cancer cells locked in a malignant state. When they silenced all three? The cancer cells differentiated back into normal, healthy tissue. MYC and WNT pathways shut down. In mice, tumors shrank significantly.
No chemo. No radiation. Just reprogramming.
Here's what most people will miss: HDAC2 is a histone deacetylase. It compacts DNA and silences tumor suppressor genes. We already use HDAC inhibitors in our protocols. This isn't new to us. But it's powerful validation.
Cancer and aging are the same problem. Cells that no longer serve the body but learned to hijack the immune system to survive. The answer isn't bigger bombs. It's restoration.
Still preclinical. But the direction is exactly right. Kudos to the @kaistpr team. 👏
