Will Ferrell deciding to educate himself and others as well as supporting and loving Harper unconditionally when she came out to him really puts some other comedians to shame, huh.
All this NaNoWriMo stuff has got me good and angry, so here's a brief🧵on why I hate AI in writing. Like many authors, I had my brain utterly rewired by genre fiction in my teens, and from about the age of 12 I suffered the constant and urgent compulsion to write fiction.
For anyone in the Playwriting sphere, @LDNPlaywrights does a "write a play" in January!
It's very gentle, with no explicit word counts, instead guiding you through from making a plan all the way to completing a first draft. The community is very supportive too!

On the bright side, this is a great opportunity to start a new annual write-a-book-in-a-month competition that doesn’t take place in one of the worst months of the year during which to write a book.

"We are not nouns, we are verbs. I am not a thing - an actor, a writer - I am a person who does things - I write, I act - and I never know what I am going to do next. I think you can be imprisoned if you think of yourself as a noun."
🚨 MASSIVE NEWS 🚨
The British Medical Association has requested that the implementation of the Cass Reviews recommendations now be paused AND trans patients of ALL AGES to continue to receive healthcare.
This is so its own evaluation of the doomed Cass review can take place.
@AdamLenson This is lovely to read! I feel like I’m a bit of a jack of all trades and have constantly been told to specialise. But I actually think I’m better at doing all of these things than I am at doing one!
The Cass review is well on its way to achieving the same status as Andrew Wakefield's work on vaccines: roundly dissected, debunked and discredited by actual scientists and professionals in the field, but stubbornly refusing to die because too many people like what it says.
@KaylaAncrum I went to see the stage play of it in the Savoy. I believe theatre should shock and provoke you. However I was nothing short of traumatised- they ignored every single piece of guidance for portraying suicidal depression in visual media. Felt like trauma p*rn thru and thru
