We are asking for your help to find missing girl Makayla, from Rotherham.

Makayla, aged 14, was last seen this morning (Friday 12 June) in the East Dene area.

She has not been seen since and officers are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.

Makalya is described as a white girl, 5ft 4ins tall, of a slim build, with long curly blonde hair.

Rachel Kerr, 31, from Dunblane, Scotland, is missing in Agadir.

She was in Morocco on a work trip.
On April 25, she checked out of the Caribbean Village Agador hotel.

Since then nothing.

Her phone is switched off.
No contact.
No trace.

Her family haven’t heard from her in three days and are growing increasingly desperate.

Her cousin, Claire Hill, is pleading for help anyone who may have seen Rachel, or knows anything at all, to come forward.

A dangerous convicted paedophile that was jailed after he blindfolded a nine year old girl and raped her has walked free from court after dangling a cat over a fence into the jaws of a dog causing horrific injuries.

Paul Thorpe, 62, of the Orchard Park Estate, Hull carried out the sadistic act with a smile on his face. He “seemed to gain some enjoyment” from what happened and did nothing to stop the attack. He showed no guilt or remorse at any point.

Salem the cat suffered horrific injuries including the loss of her tail and a leg bitten down to the bone.

Marc Luxford, prosecuting, said that Thorpe, a neighbour of Salem’s owner, picked up the cat while she was not there and he “quizzed” another neighbour, who owned two dogs, about how his dogs were with cats.

Thorpe then “dangled” Salem over a fence into the garden of the man. He put the terrified pet on the head of one of the dogs. The dog then attacked her, causing significant injury to one of her feet and to her tail.

Thorpe “seemed to gain some enjoyment” from what happened and did nothing to stop the attack. He showed no guilt or remorse at any point.

The other man did try to intervene but was bitten on the hand by the dog.

Mr Luxford said that it was “sadistic” behaviour by Thorpe that had caused a high level of pain and suffering and a “grave injury”.

Thorpe admitted failing to prevent causing unnecessary suffering to a cat.

He was sentenced to an eight-month suspended prison sentence with 15 days of rehabilitation;

He was made to pay £300 compensation to the cat owner and £300 to the man who was bitten.

However, No ban on keeping animals was imposed.

* In December 2009, Thorpe, then living in Bransholme, was jailed for over 10 years for rape and sexual assault involving two females aged nine and 17.

The court heard how Thorpe approached the nine-year-old under the guise of playing a game.

He then proceeded to blindfold the child, before violently raping her.

The court was also informed about another disturbing incident involving a 17-year-old girl.

Thorpe reportedly offered her money in exchange for sex.

When she refused his proposition, he sexually assaulted her.

The young woman managed to escape, fleeing the scene with only one shoe, and sought help from nearby residents.

She was later found in the street, visibly shaken and crying.
