Well beyond "other duties as assigned", here's the amazing inside story of the recovery and rescue of Lynell McFarland, a woman who went missing over the weekend and was found by a couple of our dedicated WSDOT maintenance crew: https://t.co/ll6rvYeqWm
In Wenatchee at the west end of the George Sellar Bridge, there's been a paint spill (not ours!) over the EB lanes. A City crew is out there directing traffic around but expect slowdowns this AM while this mess is cleaned up. Please be patient!
The slide on US 2 Pine Canyon east of Orondo dropped 300 yards of material and exposed a truck sized boulder. That rock is hanging over the highway, making it unsafe for travel and requiring a multi-week closure.
