Worship that centres on my wellbeing, peace & joy might well be genuine, but worship that centres on Christ, his love, his suffering, his cross, resurrection & utter triumph is so much more honouring of Him.
Around the throne all eyes are on him, his worth, his unique glory.
Carol, John Wimber’s former wife was a joy to know. I met & quickly came to love them both together.
She communicated joy, love & zeal for God together with a robust faith.
Now in glory, I remember her with huge respect.
'Too many visitors to London do not recognize how many Christians who changed the world once walked these very streets. They may never even have heard of William Wilberforce or George Whitefield. . . . So [Ben's] out to change that, one tour at a time.'

“Entering into rest” Heb4 doesn’t mean falling asleep.
It means be secure in the glorious salvation Jesus won for you & don’t strive through your endeavour to become accepted by God.
Satan’s trick is accusation, making you feel insecure.
Enjoy your justification! Rest in it!
Off to PRAGUE today to speak at a Holy Spirit Conference over the weekend with my recently acquired wife “Wendy Virgova” who is a speaking at a seminar for ladies.
Here’s a warning from God. “Hope deferred makes the heart sick” Pro13:12. Maybe your hopes have been dashed.
Don’t ignore the warning. Give attention to your sick heart or maybe you’ll get even sicker with deadly cynicism or unbelief or fatalism.
Jesus heals sick hearts.
“When I am afraid” Ps 56:3
“I shall not be afraid” Ps 56:4.
How come?
“I’ll put my trust in you” Ps56:3.
“What can mere man do to me?”Ps56:4
Looks like a choice you make based on God’s faithfulness, a stand you take by faith. Try it.
BUT GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD! Acts 13:30.
He raised up Jesus, as it is also written in the second Psalm “You are my Son today I have begotten you.” Acts 13:33.
The resurrected & triumphant Jesus is invited to “ASK & I WILL GIVE YOU THE NATIONS FOR YOUR INHERITANCE”. Ps2:7-8.
We’re told that the Messiah will “delight in the fear of the Lord”. Is11:3. He won’t resent it or reluctantly yield to it. He’ll DELIGHT in it. What a place of peace & joy!
His FOOD (nourishment!) was to do his Father’s will. Jn4:34. Magnificently captivated by his Father.
It’s so good every day to simply celebrate Jesus. Delight in how wonderful he is. Thank him for his incredible love and glorify his wonderful name.
Then everything else gets in the right proportion.
