i love painting with real paints... been moving in that direction for a while, but what really brings that sense of release and beauty to me is just colours colours iridescent shimmering colours, it's so hard but so wonderful when it works and you can step back and be absorbed

dying a little inside... art supplies are so expensive. I do want to do traditional stuff, you can hang it up for one. But the mileage needed to get halfway decent will cost so, so, much money. ahhh

thinking of upgrading to a cintiq 22. breaks into cold sweat at the price. aside from the larger screen, it is in many ways hardly an improvement from the 13" pro. considering whether to get it when I have a steady income, but by that point I probably won't have time to draw

but maybe I'm a perfectionist ah,, there's a fine balance between improving (thus, pushing the boundaries) vs just enjoying the process of extracting an image from the old brain
