How do we improve treatment outcomes in hoarding disorder? Emerging research suggests targeting social factors, so we did!
📡New article out, piloting a social cognition intervention in individuals with HD.
This was my biggest study in my PhD, so super proud of this one.🧵
Thinking about a recent person that made you angry, how many pins would you stick in their voodoo doll? How about in a neutral other person? 🤔

🧵2. Anger signals that we feel wronged or a need is not being met. Perhaps this presentation could encourage investigation of unmet needs. Maladaptive anger also could be a clinical target.
Thank you so much to Prof Tom Denson, @TimpanoKiara , Oskar Kocol, & @jessicargrisham
Is hoarding associated with more anger?
My last PhD study suggests yes. Hoarding was associated with >angry feelings & >cognitive and behavioural expressions of anger. Anger mediated the rel between insecure attachment and hoarding too.

We're inviting a small number of parents and their children (8-12 years) to test and provide feedback on a new digital program to help kids with anxiety. Participants will be reimbursed for their time 👉 https://t.co/nNjgj8U9El
If you have a child 8-12 yrs with anxiety (doesn't need to be diagnosed), here's a 10-week CBT/exposure therapy program we are trialling for parents to help their children face their fears: https://t.co/mQTN58yEzm
