@benwehrman It's not inconsistent. My husband took 3 months to die. During that time, I tried to keep things as normal as possible for my son including agreeing to help chaperone a field trip. Husband died the day before. Son and I decided to go anyway. You do what you have to & cry later.

@BoulwareH2 I did the majority of my crying at night after my husband died. I had a 9 year old son to raise. The grandparents were devastated. It fell to me to keep the family going and handle all of the decisions. Weeping in public wasn't an option.

@asukagrypr Erika is choosing to honor his life by continuing his work. It also gives her something to do to stay busy so that the grief doesn't overwhelm her. A lot of us widows did the same. You people judging her can suck it.

@asukagrypr All the people commenting about what she should and shouldn't be doing have no idea what grieving looks like. It comes in waves. It comes at night when it's quiet. During the day, you put on a brave face and keep moving because it will catch you off guard if you don't.
