Warning disturbing footage 🚨
⚠️Here is the complete updated account of the shocking incident at FirstCry Intellitots Preschool in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), Maharashtra.
On June 22, 2026, a 23-month-old boy was dropped off by his mother, a 29-year-old lawyer, around 10:30 AM. A female caretaker reportedly took one child out of the classroom, locked the door from the outside, and left the remaining toddlers unattended for approximately 30 minutes.
During this unsupervised period, another toddler (around 2 to 2.5 years old) repeatedly attacked the victim. The assault lasted 10 to 15 minutes and included beating and biting. The victim suffered at least 17 bite marks on his back, along with injuries to his face, nose, lips, chest, back, and feet. He was reportedly groaning in pain for nearly 45 minutes with no staff member present to stop the attack or check on the children.
The entire incident was captured on the preschool’s CCTV cameras. When the mother picked up her son later that day, the school initially told her it was only minor scratches.
Upon removing his clothes at home, she discovered the extent of the injuries and immediately rushed him to a private hospital for treatment.
Parents then demanded the full unedited CCTV footage. However, the school allegedly refused to hand it over and kept providing only edited versions. There are also serious allegations that the management offered the family ₹10 lakh along with three years of free education in exchange for not filing a complaint, reportedly saying words to the effect of “you can’t do anything to us.” The parents rejected the offer and approached the police.
Police registered an FIR at MIDC CIDCO Police Station against six to seven individuals associated with the preschool. Those named include owner Vijay Reddy from Hyderabad, CEO Shubham Maheshwari from Pune, Maharashtra State Head Anuradha Singh, managers Mangesh Musale and Vaibhav Sawde, principal Kanchan Yewale, and the caretaker on duty.
The case concerns negligence and failure to ensure child safety. No arrests have been made so far. Police are continuing to examine the full CCTV footage and question staff members.
The Maharashtra Education Department has separately launched an inquiry into the preschool’s operations, including questions around proper licensing and municipal permissions.
As of June 26, 2026, the injured child remains under medical care at a private hospital. Both the police investigation and the education department probe are ongoing. The preschool management and FirstCry have not issued a detailed public statement so far.
The CCTV video has gone viral on social media, triggering widespread outrage over child safety standards, inadequate supervision in preschools and daycares, and the way the incident was initially handled by the school. Many parents are now demanding stricter regulations, better staff-to-child ratios, immediate transparency, and stronger accountability from such facilities.
#EditorsPeek: Is the 2024 election mandate is being altered without fresh elections? Through defections and disputed mergers, the balance of power in Parliament is shifting despite voters having already delivered their verdict.
This is an unbelievable piece of work by Sarthak and something that requires amplification.
Let me explain what he found, in simple terms.
Sarthak is a Class 12 student from the 2025-26 batch, one of the 17 lakh students whose answer sheets went through CBSE's new On-Screen Marking system.
He spent days reading through CBSE's evaluation tenders, scraped all 576 tenders CBSE has issued, and tracked how the rules changed across three versions of the same tender.
The core finding is that the company that won the contract to scan and grade 17 lakh students' answer sheets is Coempt Eduteck.
Coempt used to be called Globarena Technologies. Globarena was the company behind the 2019 Telangana intermediate exam disaster, where software failures led to 3.8 lakh students getting wrong or missing marks, and 23 students died by suicide.
A government committee found systemic failure and negligence. Six months later, Globarena rebranded to Coempt Eduteck.
So a company with that track record won a contract to handle 17 lakh CBSE students. Sarthak's investigation is about how the rules were rewritten to let that happen.
The tender was issued three times.
> First tender, February 2025. It existed, then disappeared from the public GeM portal. Sarthak scraped all 576 CBSE tenders and this one was missing from the archive entirely.
> Second tender, May 2025. Four companies applied including TCS and Coempt. All four failed the technical evaluation. Cancelled.
> Third tender, August 2025. Coempt won. Between the second and third tender, a series of rule changes happened, and every single one made it easier for Coempt to qualify.
Here is what changed, one by one.
01. The old rules disqualified any company with a history of abandoning work, failing to complete contracts, or financial weakness. The new rules deleted this clause entirely. Coempt's Telangana history stopped being a barrier.
02. The old rules disqualified any company that was "blacklisted earlier." The new rules changed this to "currently blacklisted." Because Globarena rebranded after Telangana, removing the word "earlier" effectively erased their past.
03. The rules required Rs 50 crore average turnover over three years. Coempt's exact average came to Rs 50.86 crore. They cleared the bar by less than 1%. Earlier, a smaller company had asked CBSE to lower the bar to Rs 30 crore for fairer competition. CBSE refused. So the bar was kept high enough to block small players, but sat exactly low enough for Coempt to scrape through.
04. Software maturity is measured on the CMMI scale, 1 to 5. The old rules required Level 5. The new rules dropped it to Level 3. Coempt is a Level 3 company.
05. The cooling-off period for engaging retired CBSE officials was cut from two years to one. This makes it easier to use recently retired insiders to influence the process.
06. The old rules required experience with large projects of at least 5 lakh students each. The new rules removed the student count and counted cumulative answer-book volume across small projects instead. Coempt has many small fragmented university contracts. This helped Coempt and hurt TCS.
07. The old rules required bidders to own their own data centre and disaster recovery centre on Indian soil. The new rules allowed third-party MeitY-empanelled cloud hosting. Coempt runs on AWS and Azure. This helped Coempt and hurt TCS, which owns its own data centres. It also means student data is no longer on sovereign, Indian infrastructure.
08. The old rules required the bidder to own or control the complete source code of its software. The new rules deleted this. Coempt's platform runs on Microsoft's proprietary IIS, which they don't own.
09. A last-minute corrigendum, issued right before bid submission, removed CBSE's own power to blacklist the firm if its software failed catastrophically. So even a Telangana-scale failure couldn't get Coempt banned from future government tenders.
10. The penalty structure shifted from punishing mistakes to punishing delays. The old rules fined the vendor for wrong scanning, merged pages, and unscanned books. The new rules dropped those and instead levied Rs 50,000 per day for delays. This incentivises rushed scanning over accurate scanning.
11. The old rules had a hard accuracy threshold, error rate not to exceed 0.5%. The new rules removed this number entirely.
12. The old rules specified proper book and robotics scanners. The new rules just say "sufficient scanners." The definition was vague enough that, as Sarthak notes, the scanning could be done with a phone on a stand.
13. On the security side, the contract required a VAPT (vulnerability and penetration test) certified by CERT-In before go-live, and a restricted beta phase before launch. The system clearly wasn't restricted, because the other researcher, Nisarga, was able to access it and find vulnerabilities four days before go-live. So the mandatory security audit appears to have been bypassed.
These are more than a dozen rule changes, all between the failed tender and the winning tender, all pushing in the same direction, all benefiting the one company with the worst track record in the field.
The security holes Nisarga found last week now have an explanation. The system was built by a vendor that was specifically allowed to skip the security certification, the source code ownership, the data sovereignty, and the quality thresholds the original rules demanded.
Following things need to happen immediately;
1. An immediate CAG audit of the tender process.
2. A parliamentary debate on the topic.
3. An independent investigation into
> Why the first tender vanished?
> Why the disqualification clauses were deleted?
> Why the turnover bar was held exactly where it was?
> Why the security level was dropped?
> Why the blacklisting power was removed at the last moment?
Sarthak, this is genuinely exceptional investigative work. Far better than most journalists with full resources ever manage. Take a bow. :)
A quiet shift in India’s tax structure:
Cess & Surcharge collections by the Union Govt:
2016-17 → Rs. 1.99 lakh crore
2025-26 → Rs. 5.82 lakh crore
2026-27 → Rs. 6.30 lakh crore
More than tripled within a decade!!
Cesses & surcharges are not shared with States - effectively shrinking the divisible tax pool. The more they grow, the smaller the divisible pool becomes.
That’s how fiscal federalism quietly shrinks.
#rajyasabha #FiscalFederalism
Perverse and twisted.
Maharashtra’s Forest department, meant to protect forests, is going to cut 6,000 CRORE WORTH OF TEAK WOOD and raise money to pay back a loan.
Why? Because an election sop is “draining the state’s coffers”.
i was tired of stupid people on road so i hacked my helmet into a traffic police device 🚨

blr people - so now ride safe… or regret it.
This paragraph from Rajdeep Sardesai's profile in Caravan is revealing.
Defence reporters had been telling their bosses that the attacks reported during Operation Sindoor hadn't happened.
India Today still aired those fake stories because....wait for it...the union ministers' offices said so
The CEC said House No. 0 is for homeless people. But we do our homework. So we decided to check everything he says.
And when we checked the address, it wasn't for a homeless person. There is a Mr. Narendra who supposedly lives in that house.
We understood why the House was numbered 0. Because when we sent someone to look for him, it was impossible to find him. Rather, we physically identified this man in a village.
The reason there is House No. 0 is that nobody can identify where that person is. Once he has voted, he is gone.
This man is one of the hundreds of examples that we have. The CEC is lying to the people of India openly. This is a method to make voter and address verification difficult. It's not a mistake. It's not about homeless people.
Another one: the BJP Vice Chairman of Zila Parishad, Palwal, who lives in House No. 150, and he has 66 voters living in his house.
Now, let's go to House No. 265, where 501 voters live. And when you look for them, you can't find them there. Why? So that you can't check whether these people exist or where or how they vote.
Another example is House No. 1904, which the list says has 108 voters. But that's not true.
There is a rule: if there is a house where there are 10 people living in it, then there has to be a ground verification. That's an EC rule.
But was any verification done? Clearly no!

Dr. @dr_sivaranjani painstakingly fought for 8 years to convince the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to heed the harms of fake ORS drinks targeting children, flooding the market from greedy corporate companies.
She won. FSSAI ordered the ban on the use of “ORS” in product names except for WHO-approved formulations - which meant that these companies fake mislabelled products could not be sold.
But then, she lost.
In a new twist of events, the Delhi High Court and FSSAI has now ordered that fake ORS products, especially the worst and the most stocked one - ORSL Drink by JNTL Consumer Health (the name for the Indian consumer health subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, which is now known as Kenvue) can continue to be sold temporarily under the High Court’s interim protection.
The Court and FSSAI has essentially allowed the sale of fake mislabelled products worth 180 crore Indian Rupees to protect the interest of the greedy corporations without any concern for the children's health.
As a citizen of this country, you can help the good doctor and her great deed by BOYCOTTING THESE SUBSTANDARD PRODUCTS - LET THESE PRODUCTS ROT ON THE SHELVES. The public is the most powerful entity of a Nation. Let us be one and take care of ourselves and our children.
Do not buy these SUGARY products with zero health benefits and do not follow WHO Standards- and spread the word please! Share maximum!
ORSL by JTNL (Johnson and Johnson, Kenvue)
REBALANCE VIT ORS (ReddyLabs)
GLUCON - D ORS (Zydus)
The Courts allowed it. FSSAI consented to it.
But as the public of this country who value our childrens health, let us not. Make sure these greedy corporations suffer for their deceptions.
20 years ago, the Congress-led UPA Govt, under the leadership of then PM, Dr. Manmohan Singh and Smt. Sonia Gandhi, ushered in a new era of transparency and accountability by implementing the Right to Information (RTI) Act 2005.
In the last 11 years, the Modi Govt. has systematically corroded the RTI Act, thereby hollowing out Democracy and citizen’s right.
1. In 2019, the Modi Govt hacked away at the RTI Act, seizing control over Information Commissioners’ tenure and pay, converting independent watchdogs into servile functionaries.
2. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gutted the RTI’s public interest clause, weaponising privacy to shield corruption and stonewall scrutiny.
3. The Central Information Commission has been functioning without a Chief Information Commissioner — the seventh time in 11 years this key post has been left vacant. It currently has 8 vacancies, unfilled for over 15 months, paralysing the appeals process and denying justice to thousands.
4. A chilling “no data available” doctrine now prevails, the govt brazenly withholds information on deaths during COVID, NSSO 2017-18, ASUSE 2016–2020, PM CARES and et al, erasing facts to escape accountability.
5. Since 2014, over 100 RTI activists have been murdered, unleashing a climate of terror that punishes truth-seekers and extinguishes dissent.
Thanks to Mr Modi’s maximum government, minimum governance, every day we get pictures more shameful than the previous day. But this is something beyond shame
