🏆People forget, but Islam Makhachev had to dig deep to win fights many times in his career.

He had a tough fight with Chris Wade at the beginning of his UFC career, a close fight with Arman Tsarukyan, and had wars in his title fights with Volkanovski and Poirier, tough fight with Ian Machado Garry.

Even before the UFC, there were a few times when it looked like Islam could almost lose a fight. He was never invincible, and that makes him more human. Just a guy with good jokes and a kind heart who happened to be thebestfighterintheworld.

He can’t be compared to Khabib. That was a level of dominance we might never see again.

🚨SHEIKH FAROUQ WAS EXECUTED

In new footage from the pogrom yesterday in Tell, Martyr Sheikh Farouq can be seen walking around unarmed after neutralizing at least one settler terrorist. That means Farouq laid down his weapon after neutralizing the immediate threat, and was later executed WHILE UNARMED.

The settler filming can be heard yelling to the soldiers to shoot everyone. When his friend tells him to drop it, because they're already shooting, he responds that they're shooting only because he keeps yelling at them.

The footage was published by Elisha Yered, a leading settler terrorist and the former spokesperson for MK Limor Son Har Melech (Jewish Power). He meant to show how the army was supposedly "soft" for not murdering Sheikh Farouq immediately.

It has now been around 1,100 days since my father, Imran Khan, was imprisoned, and my brother and I haven’t heard his voice since March. For months, we’ve been denied contact with him. We remain in the dark about his access to healthcare as his eyesight continues to deteriorate. He urgently needs medical attention, and with no family or legal access, we don’t even get any second hand information or reassurance.

I’ve found myself especially missing him recently. I want to speak to him about mundane things like my cricket, books I’ve been reading and what new movies are good. I understand the people of Pakistan want their chosen leader free, but I miss my father more than ever.

But this is not just about a father. It is about Pakistan, and its future. A rigged, authoritarian regime continues to crush political opposition, undermine democratic institutions, and deny millions of Pakistanis their right to freely choose their leaders, whilst terrorising those who speak their beliefs.

I once again plea to the international community to not look away. Silence in the face of injustice only enables it.
